Democrats Pile On Earmarks Into Realm Of Total Insanity
This onslaught at the last minute by the Democrats is unforgivable. As others have observed, this is a political Battle of the Bulge!
Here's an earmark table they call it.......FY 2011 Omnibus CJS Earmark Table
23 frickin' pages just for this one link alone.
18 million to Kennedy charities
There's a separate table for just the agricultural earmarks in the spending bill. This one runs 11 pages.
FY 11 Omnibus Agriculture Earmark Chart
OMG here is some more note the titles of these:
FY 2011 Omnibus Energy and Water Earmark Chart
FY 11 Omnibus INTERIOR AND ENVIRONMENT,(water and energy earmarks)
16 pages to this one
Here is the mother lode.....this one is 90 frickin' pages...
FY 2011 Omnibus Transportation HUD Earmark Chart
Nope there is more mother lodes in this thing: This one has 98 pages
Labor HHS Omnibus Earmark Chart
$1 Billion for Obamacare in Omnibus Spending Bill
In addition to the earmarks, the Senate omnibus spending bill also contains provisions totaling over $1 billion that will help fund Obamacare’s implementation. About $81 million will go to the Department of Health and Human Services for costs related to the enforcing the mandate and the new health care regulations. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will receive $176 million to finance starting the Medicaid expansion and the costs associated with the Medicare Advantage cuts. The National Health Care Workforce Commission, which was created by Obamacare, will nab $3 million.
.
Wild Thing's comment........
They can't be stopped, it is like a top spinning and never ending. I also read there are even a few Republicans that have earmarks in this monster bill.

One of my friends mentioned yesterday that I seemed a bit pissed off lately. Gee, its not like I don't have a reason.

This just shows that we've got our work cut out for us. It's going to take a couple election cycles to get the trash taken out of Washington.
Both Republicans and Democrats are hoping the Tea Party will now go away so they can get back to business as usual.

Many of the newly elected members of Congress need to realize that, the voter disgust with actions like this, is one of the reasons that they were elected.
We all need to Hope and Pray that they do not allow themselves to be swayed by actions such as this.

I also worry how some of our newly elected will act after a year or two on the Hill. Just remember what happened to the class of '94. All we can do as individuals is be aware and vote accordingly.
Long Live the Tea Party. The Tea Party is the reconstituded Reagan Democrats and Independents.

"A group of gangsters cannot be stopped by a written
contract. A power group in government cannot be stopped by a state paper. A
revolutionary junta, whose purpose is to take over the sovereignty, cannot be
stopped by a resolution of Congress. The only answer to a ruthless political
action group, determined to destroy the honor [of ] America, is a political action
group determined to support American political ideals and defend the men in
government who are loyal to them."....
"I am convinced we shall never recognize the octopus we have to fight until we realize it is not part of the legally established
government at all. It is a revolutionary junta, operating within our government,
and through our government, but not for our government, our Constitution, or
our nation."
Sen. William Jenner, Feb. 14 1955

The New Congress starts 1st Week in January, if they don't get it done they too get voted out. Obviously, the current is showing its contempt for the people with this piece of crap. As if to say same ol same nothing changes, it damn well better.

Bob, I agree, many of them are really counting on the Tea Party movement to wear out over time.

Sean, well said, that is exactly it. I hope and pray too.
