U.S. Senate Democratic Candidate Alvin Greene Gives His First Speech
U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Alvin Greene gives his first speech during the Manning Branch NAACP's monthly meeting on July 18, 2010 at Manning Junior High School.
'Reclaim Our Country' From 'Terrorists And The Communists'
Greene spoke for about seven minutes, and reportedly told Jessica Yellin of CNN, who was in Manning, that his speech was "handwritten on double lined notebook paper."
Raw video from Alvin Greene’s first speech…ever. On the sign outside the gymnasium, they spelled his name wrong (without the ‘e’ at the end). He was supposed to take questions from the press corps at the end of what was supposed to be a 20-30 minute speech (it was actually 7 minutes), but didn’t. There were around 4-500 people there to support him, and they clapped enthusiastically, as you’ll hear, at all the talking points he threw out. The whole thing is positively comical. It’s as if he’s performing a skit in a high school talent show. My favorite part is at the -1.30 minute mark when he talks about “a guy” who I THINK is actually him – and references a trial of some sort. It is completely apropos of NOTHING, which could also be said about pretty much the entire speech.
I cannot WAIT for the Greene/Demint debate(s). I hope to God they’re televised, because that would be a million times better than any sitcom.

Did he really just call out Obama and his inner circle of William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, etc? heh heh
“Greene then repeated the statistic that in June, “we saw a net loss of 125,000 jobs across the country.”
And this is Senator DeMints fault, we lost 125,000 jobs because of him? Sorry, Obama and the Democrats run the country Mr. Greene

On Fox they said he spent 3 days writing that speech and it shows. Obviously he's getting no help from the DNC or obama...hmmm I guess Mr. Greene is NOT included in the redistriubtion plan.

This guy did 13 years in the military. He's also figured out how to win the Democratic nomination to run for the US Senate. He may seem dumber than a box of rocks but I would not underestimate him. People are so sick of career politicians, they just may send him to Washington.
