Austin has a large number of liberals. It is home to the University of Texas and to the state capital. It has a lot of the "touchy feely" attitude of Boulder, Colorado or Berkeley, Calif. However, there are also a hell of a lot of strong conservatives in Austin. I imagine this sign draws a lot of interest from both groups.
I lived in Austin for a few years and it is a neat town.
