Inspector General Finds Racial Bias In Auto Dealership Closings Ordered By Obama

Inspector general finds racial bias in auto dealership closings ordered by Obama

Examiner Tampa Bay

Troubled Asset Relief Program Inspector General Neal M. Barofsky has found that many of the General Motors and Chrysler dealerships ordered closed by the Obama administration, after last year’s bailouts, were victims of racial, gender and even political bias.

According to Barofsky’s report, 2,000 dealerships were forced to close which cost 100,000 jobs.

However, the businesses allowed to stay open “were retained because they were recently appointed, were key wholesale parts dealers, or were minority-or woman-owned dealerships.”

The report also indicates a political bias may have come into play, due to a disproportionate number of dealership closings in rural areas, even though the closures could "jeopardize the return to profitability" for both GM and Chrysler.

Barofsky states: “ultimately close to half of all of the GM dealerships identified for termination were in rural areas.”

Of course, in 2008, Obama lost the vote in the nation's 1,300 rural counties by close to 80 percent.

Perhaps, most troubling of all was the statement made last week, to American Thinker magazine by Obama’s manufacturing czar, Ron Bloom, that the dealerships could have been kept open, “but that doing so would have been inconsistent with the President's mandate for ‘shared sacrifice.’”

With this report, we witness yet another example of institutional racism by the Obama administration. While we know that Obama is willing to sit by and allow the New Black Panthers to intimidate white voters to stay away from the polls on election day, we now see that he is also willing to take away one’s livelihood, based on the color of their skin.

This may be the most infuriating action as yet, from a president whose popularity has fallen as quickly as it once rose. At a time when 1 in 5 Americans are either out of work or underemployed, to needlessly force 100,000 of them into the ranks of the jobless, is inexcusable. To do so because of race or political beliefs should be an impeachable offense.

As usual, the mainstream press is silent on the matter.

Wild Thing's comment........

I remember one of the posts I did back when this happend, the article said most car dealers that were closed were Republican owned and the proof of this was in the donor records.

This is identical to the shut down of the oil drilling industry in the south. The purpose is to hit Republican areas with high unemployment.

Gretchen Carlson (FOX) must have gone ballistic when this came out. Her dad’s lifetime dealership was closed by Obama.

No surprise here. All those evil Whities, cheated their way to the top. And now its time for Gettin-even-with'em.

The whole problem the dealerships they kept or refranchised are going to go belly up and then where GM be. ObamaMotors can go to hell.

Yes, this bias was VERY clear back then; the whole thing stuck with party bias politics...why is the report just coming out now??

Yep, the MSM is staying away from this story. In any Repub administration this would be the highlight of the news day, for months.

obama is an admitted racist. It's in his autobiographies.

I don't think the inspector general was supposed to find this or tell any one about it if he did find it. And so the MSM is not saying a word to further cover Odumbasses racist butt.

The MSM will stay away from any story that exposes Obama for the racist he is.

Yes it sure took Neal Barofsky long enough to say what we felt back then.

Thanks everyone so much.
