Robert Gibbs Asked if Obama has Assurances Hillary Won't Run in 2012
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs being asked yesterday at the White House Daily Briefing, about what “assurances” Obama has received from “his Secretary of State” that she will not run for President in 2012! Gibbs was caught flat-footed by the question, and after a pause, said he was “unaware of any assurance that this President needs about his Secretary of State.”
That question goes to the heart of the nightmare scenario for Obama and his team. They barely beat Hillary in 2008. If things continue to worsen, and Obama’s numbers fall into the mid to low 30′s by this time next year, a challenge from Hillary or others is a very real possibility.
Gibbs: "I am unaware of any assurance that this President needs about his Secretary of State.”

Obama not going to Chelsea nuptials

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday President Obama will not attend the wedding of Chelsea Clinton scheduled for this weekend.
The location and invite list have been guarded like state secrets, but when asked at the end of the Monday White House press briefing whether the president would attend, Gibbs said "no."
Previously, Gibbs had said he was not aware of plans, but this is the first time he'd directly indicated the president will not be in attendance. No word on whether the president had actually been invited.
Media reports have the wedding taking place at the former estate of John Jacob Astor, Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, New York on Saturday, July 31. Some local media outlets had reported President Obama was to attend the event after the Secret Service was spotted working on security preparations. The 30 year-old Clinton is marrying longtime friend and beau Marc Mezvinsky, 32.

obama won't go to the wedding because he fears he may not be the center of attention. Chelsea and her parents may be the draw.
I would love to see Hillary run against obama in 2012. That would really split the Democrat Party apparatus and the obama administration..

For the average residents of Rhinebeck this will be nothing less than a royal inconvenience. Two reporters had been arrested and charged with trespassing for taking pictures of the gate to the estate. The NY State police are working with the Secret Service and the Dutchess County Sheriff has been asked by the County Executive not to provide any taxpayer funded assistance for security related to the wedding. Another bride getting married on the same day says she knows it was not done on purpose but this Chelsea wedding has turned her plans from a happy experience into a nightmare. Most of her guests are from out of town and there are no lodging facilities available locally.

What ClusterF*** this whole thing has turned out to be and who really care if Chelsea Clinton gets married or not. She might be better off taking after he daddy, get an El Camino with astro turf in the truck bed gun rack and a budweiser hat.
