AZ Senator Kyl on his conversation with Obama and why the borders won't be secured!
On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Tempe Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office.....
SEN. JON KYL: I met with the president in the Oval Office, just the two of us… Here’s what the president said. “The problem is,” he said, "If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform.”
[gasps from the audience]
KYL: In other words they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with comprehensive immigration reform. I explained, “You and I have an obligation to secure the border. That’s an obligation. It also has some potentially positive benefits. You don’t have to have comprehensive immigration to secure the border, but you have to have a secure border to get comprehensive immigration reform. You may be surprised, maybe you don’t think that there’d be any more incentive, but I’m not so sure that that’s true. In any event, it doesn’t matter we’re supposed to secure the border.”
That’s why this is being done. They want to get something in return for doing their duty. And that’s—
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Chicago politics.
KYL: Yeah.
Sen. Kyl also said he reminded President Obama that the President and the Congress has an obligation, a duty, to secure the border.

Obama cannot stop his hate for America.
This gross refusal to uphod and abide by our Constitution and enforce U.S. law is total TREASON. This IS treason. He is responsible for the security of the nation and he is flat out taking a pass on it.

This is certainly not surprising. obama learned the art of shakedown well from his Chicago mentors. I am sure Jerimiah Wright and Bill Ayers showed him the ropes.
The amnesty issue just won't go away. Even though Americans have shown an overwhelming dislike for it, the politicians are determined to shove it down our throats.

This makes as much sense as your 16 year old daughter telling you, that she's pregnant, but 'Dad Im only a little bit Pregnant'.
Sorry that's the best analogy I could come up with on such short notice. This dipstick obama is so adept at lying and spinning the truth, its tough.
Like Pielosy saying vote for the Health Care bill and then we can find out whats in it. We have got to clean out Washington, it is infested with Rats and cockroaches...

Since the news broke that a portion of Arizona had been shut off to Americans while narco terrorists and coyotes operate with impunity there, there has been no updates or any word on what is going on. Has anyone heard anything?

We the people begged Bush to take action, he did, he ducked the issue. Now the commies are openly using the issue as a lever to pass amnesty for criminals, hell we let the sons of bitches run the country, what can we expect ??? What would lying serve Kyl at this stage? Nothing!!! Sure the spinners are touting it as hype to the tea party members. Kyle isn't the type to misquote when the press is there to criticize any statements he might make. The facts are the Democrats can't let the truth prevail, closed doors, closed press conferences, their own press corps, my lips are moving Gibbs and now trying to grab the internet in a Hugo Chavez movement!!!

Jack's right in that Bush ducked the issue. Matter-of-fact, Bush said on numerous occasions the illegals were doing the jobs Americans wouldn't do. I guess he was talking about the 600 high paying jobs at Howard Industries in Mississippi.

Jack, I agree. All day they have been trying to say Kyl lied, but of course this is coming from Obama's camp. I believe Kyl.
BobF., yes Bush did nothing and barely wanted to listen to us when we voiced our big NO way at the WH when he was Pres. Thank God he stopped and didn't do it though, I am grateful for at least that much.
What the heck is it with these people the Bush, McCain, Obama etc. that want to help those breaking our laws. sheesh
