An AP article appearing in “My Way” states: President Barack Obama has said the 1993 law, known as "don't ask, don't tell," unfairly punishes patriotic Americans and asked Congress to repeal it. When Obama argued in favor of abortion, he cited the prospect of one of his daughters being “unfairly punished” by an unwanted pregnancy.
Conflict of varying interests and perspectives is one of the outcomes of living in a free society governed by laws that flow under the aegis of the U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately, Obama’s “unfairly” perspective sweeps aside another, larger perspective and that is when will politicians and the courts begin to weigh in on what is fair for the majority rather than impose the will of a tyrannical MINORITY.
An example of the will of the tyrannical minority was most recently demonstrated by the Democrat Congress and Obama Administration with passage of the “destroy the greatest healthcare system in the world” Health Care Bill. Granted, there was a majority of members in Congress who voted for it, but it was over the strong objections and warnings of a vast majority of ordinary citizens, with every poll registering their strong “no.”
Courts have repeatedly overruled the will of the majority, ostensibly in favor of protecting and advancing the rights of minorities against the so called, “tyrannical majority.” Okay, one gets it, but the obverse tyrannical shoe is more often than not used to impose the will of a tyrannical MINORITY upon the majority.
Once again the tyrannical minority is at work, this time on imposing the acceptance of a lifestyle on the U.S. Military. There is wide and deep majority opposition to homosexuals serving openly in the military for valid reasons having nothing to do with the commitment and patriotism of homosexuals. But it has everything to do with living arrangements and the inherent predatory nature of homosexual behavior in U.S. military barracks setting.
Men who look on other men, and women who regard other women as sex objects are predatory no matter how liberals and other ignorant advocates try to sugar coat it. If homosexuals want to serve, the right is inscribed in law. If their goal is to serve openly, the underlying question is “why?” There can only be two answers: First, to be able to openly engage in courtship under the rules of fraternization that already exist and are routinely violated, witness combat zone pregnancies. Yes, it takes two to tango. The second is to advance the political agenda of total societal acceptance of homosexual behavior, without regard to effects. Infliction of liberal’s homosexual MINORITY agenda and lifestyle, upon a tolerant but reticent majority will lead to further societal collapse.
One must stop the train and ask, “What is the purpose of the United States Armed Forces?” Is it to engage in combat or be a reflection of U.S. Society? If it is the former then we have already woefully compromised its mission by the admission of women into combat zones.
But politicians are so concerned about “gender” equality that they have been willing to do that and accept the degradation since even in its degraded state U.S. Armed Forces remain overall superior to all others thanks to economics, technology, training, leadership and management. If it is the latter, then it is destined to disintegrate right along with U.S. Society that is presently in the second stage of collapse, “liberalism” manifest by moral excess and societal decay being the first.
Ask any, except a careerist military leader whose interest is the next star or sucking up, and he will tell you that he has to spend too much time dealing with social, under the aegis of leadership, issues that could be better spent leading, training, managing and fighting. Now, add to that the host of additional issues brought on by openly serving homosexuals. Passing a law, writing a regulation is simple by comparison to implementation of those laws and regulations where the rubber meets the road.
Implementation of political correctness regulations in the Army is a prime example. For instance there is the Chief of Staff of the Army’s idiotic comment that his concern about the Army’s terrorist attack upon itself by Major Nidal Malik Hasan is the attack’s potential adverse impact on diversity. Wow!
Isn’t watching Democrats destroy America fun? Not! Conservatives of all stripes need to wake up and act, lest they wake up dead!
