Pope Wanna Be Pelosi Says She's Told Catholic Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops Tell Catholics That Immigration Reform Is
.
CNSNews.com - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she has told Catholic cardinals, archbishops and bishops that she wants them to speak from the pulpit for immigration reform and tell Catholics who oppose it that reform “is a manifestation of our living the gospels.”
.
She is the most radical pro-abortion politician in Congress despite the fact that she claims to be “Catholic.” She has intentionally misled voters on the Catholic Church doctrine on abortion and life issues. She supports the gruesome partial-birth abortion grinding method. She uses bogus saint’s days to push her radical pro-abortion nationalized health care bill.
Now, she wants Catholic clergy to push the democrat’s open border pro-amnesty immigration plan after she just rammed through pro-abortion Obamacare.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she has told Catholic cardinals, archbishops and bishops that she wants them to speak from the pulpit for immigration reform and tell Catholics who oppose it that reform is a manifestation of our living the gospels.
In her comments at the Catholic Community Conference on Capitol Hill on May 6, Pelosi specifically referenced illegal immigrants in America, saying as a practical matter, we cant say to people, 12 million of you, go back to wherever you came from or go to jail.
I would hope that theres one thing that we can do working together as we go forward that speaks to what the Bible tells us about the dignity and worth of every person -- and that is on the subject of immigration, Pelosi said in her remarks. Because I think the Church is going to have to play a very major role in how we, in how people are treated.
The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me and say, We want you to pass immigration reform, disclosed Pelosi. And I say, But I want you to speak about it from the pulpit.'
I want you to instruct your, whatever the communication is -- the people, some of them, oppose immigration reform are sitting in those pews and you have to tell them that this is a manifestation of our living the gospels, said Pelosi. Our patron saint of San Francisco, St. Francis of Assisi, he said, preach the gospel --sometimes use words. We need the words to be said because it isnt being picked up automatically.
Pelosi, a Catholic and a Trinity College alumnus, said the estimated 12 million people currently living in America illegally cannot be told by society to go back to where they came from or go to jail.
We have to respect that dignity and worth (of the indiciual), and recognize that the Church has an important role to play in that, she said. We dont -- as a practical matter, we cant say to people, 12 million of you, go back to wherever you came from or go to jail.
We cant do that, she said. But the newcomers to America are really, again, important to the constant re-invigoration of America, which is part of who we are and have always been unless were all Native American -- God Bless them. But most of the people here came from someplace else.

Wild Thing's comment........
So Pelosi is the leader of the Catholic church now? Wow, where does she find the time? LOL Good grief!
What REALLY ticks me off is how the left is trying to brain washing people into thinking this is about immigration and it is about ILLEGALS!!!! No one that I know is against immigration and those that follow our laws about it.
What about the rights of hard-working LEGAL immigrants Nancy you worthless fraud?!

Read the signs and become angry-note the threats on the signs;if we were carrying signs with similar messages about the regime,we would be gone. Also, they proclaim that they are no longer coming here to find work but to collect what we "owe"them . If the people depicted in the photo are illegals (they most likely are),they are criminals, they should be invited into a bus for a return trip to their legal residence south of the border. If they resist they need to go down in a rain of bullets. Let this happen a few times and perhaps they will think twice about illegal entry into our country. When we ignore our own borders and condone threats and actual violence from prople who have no right to be here, it is all over for us as a nation. The regime sees these as potential progressive voters. I want to live my life right in God's eyes so I do not have to spend eternity in hell with Pelosi and her ilk. She has already excomunicated herself whether she realizes it or not...

Willy is right. If that one sign was carried at a Tea Party rally, it would be all over the news 24/7.

What's so surprising here?
Archbishop,Phony Baloney Mahoney, the local head of the Catholic Church, here in Los Angeles, has come out with similar statements.

As a pastor of a Baptist Church I would have to say that no way should Nancy be telling the church anything or asking it to drive her ideas that is destroying America

If the Catholic Church wants illegal immigration, maybe they should go back to the old way of doing things. Go back to the time where the church, not the government, took care of the needs of immigrants. Italian, Polish, and Hispanic immigrants of long ago went to the church for help, not the government. I wonder if Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles would be so critical of Arizona if he had to shell out the money to support them?

The first thing I noticed was the Sign: G-I-V-E ME, who the hell do they think they are. Their not even guests in this country. What can't they understand about law breaking.
Yesterday, Arnold said, He would not go to Arizona, because he has an accent and would be arrested. This stupid, pathetic, pandering, demogogic idiot. Too many steroids has adeled his brain. He came here the right way through the front door. I suppose next he will make it a crime if the cops arrest Burglars, because afterall isn't that what these Illegals are doing when they break into our house?
