Al Sharpton: We’re Ready to Commit Civil Disobedience Over Arizona Immigration Bill
70% of Arizona voters agree with new immigration legislation signed into law on Friday.
But, not Al Sharpton or Barack Obama.
The Rev. Al Sharpton says he will challenge Arizona’s new immigration bill in court and on the streets.
Sharpton is joining Lillian Rodriguez Lopez from the Hispanic Federation to announce a legal challenge to the bill. They say activists are also prepared to commit civil disobedience to fight the Arizona immigration bill.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the bill Friday. It requires police to question people about their immigration status — including asking for identification — if they suspect someone is in the country illegally.
The law will take effect in late July or early August.

This should make it much easier to find some illegals to get rid of in AZ. Just wait for a bunch to gather around Rev. Al and then pick them all up and do an immigration check on the whole crowd. Send the illegals off and wait for Al to draw some more “protesters” around him. heh heh

I see one thing wrong with the Sheriff's letter in that he called Sharpton a reverend who preaches from a churches pulpit. I don't know of any church pulpit he preaches from except when it's convenient for him.
Sharpton was ordained when he was "9" years old...what a joke. He because a Baptist minister in 1994 but never pastored a church or congregation. He only uses the title "reverend" to further his agenda. To equate him with a Christian minister who has studied and overseen a church is a farce.
Sharpton is a liar who never has his facts straight, as pointed out the the Sheriff. On The O'Reilly Factor, he stated he saw the video of Tea Party members using racial slurs and spitting on Black members of congress. When pressed on the issue further by O'Rielly, he admitted he never saw the video as none existed. The man is a bold face liar.

Al has been out of the public eye since obama's campaign. That is a long time for Al not to get his fix of tv time. Now he has found a cause to help him fill his egotistical needs. Wouldn't it be funny if the hispanics told Al to bugger off.

Unless Sharpton is a resident of Arizona, I don't believe he has standing to challenge the new law. Same goes for Lillian Rodriguez Lopez.
