Hugo Chavez Equals Barack Obama Minus the 2nd Amendment
There are two good ways to understand the horrible results of total government control available. Read the book Atlas Shrugged and study today’s Venezuela. What is currently happening in Venezuela was written about by Ayn Rand over 50 years ago. Although, I’m not sure there is a Juan Galt down there to save Venezuela when it totally collapses into chaos.
Since taking control of Venezuela, Mr. Potato Head Hugo Chavez has usurped control and liberty of that formerly free and prosperous nation. Mr. Potato Head Chavez may be the most stupid person to lead a country in the history of the universe. If there is anyone more stupid than Chavez, that person is an amoeba. Chavez has taken a wealthy democracy and destroyed it economically by cutting off all meaningful foreign investment when he began nationalizing foreign businesses and running them into the ground. Chavez then seized the banks of Venezuela. He took control over the media and silenced all opposing views. Chavez has taken riches from the wealthy and “spread it around” to the poor to buy votes. Now all are poor and getting poorer. Last week, P.H. Chavez devalued his currency and froze prices to try and stave off the growing angry masses. Chavez built his weak economic system on $4 per gallon gasoline. Once he nationalized (stole) the oil companies, he lost the foreign talent needed to extract it. Now oil production is tanking along with oil prices from only a few years ago. Like all good communists, everything Chavez touches turns to disaster. Water, food, and electricity are harder to find with blackouts a daily occurrence. Just as in Atlas Shrugged, the more the government takes control, the more the people suffer. Like the old joke says, “if communists owned the desert, there would be a shortage of sand.”
Now focus on Venezuela’s northern neighbor America. President Hopenchange and his merry band of socialists have been busy taking us down the same road as Mr. Potato Head. Obama has taken control of major American industry like General Motors which continues to hemorrhage money. He also has his hooks deep in the banking and insurance industries. Obama and his cronies control Wall Street firms and investment banks. He has desperately tried to nationalize our health care industry which makes up 1/6 of the US economy. It doesn’t stop there. Ever heard of Cap and Trade where the federal government would control what we drive and how much energy we use? What about freedom of speech? Obama and his ilk have made it clear they favor the Fairness Doctrine which would give the government control over what content is broadcast over the airwaves, effectively nullifying the First Amendment. Democrats prohibit us from drilling or creating our own energy. The USA is the only country in the world where it is illegal to drill our own energy! Try building a nuclear power plant with the EPA and environmentalist wacko legal delaying tactics! Obama has devalued the dollar by creating tremendous deficits our grandchildren will be forced to pay off decades from now. He has printed trillions of dollars based on no wealth that has weakened the dollar and will create tremendous inflation very soon. See the pattern here? Smells a lot like Caracas doesn’t it?
What is keeping America from being Venezuela? Simple. Democrat’s worst enemy…the Second Amendment. Our Founding Fathers, in their infinite and inspired wisdom, granted common citizens the right to own firearms and the right to replace government once it becomes corrupt and inefficient. Ever wonder why Democrats always support disarming Americans? Looking at Venezuela, it becomes clear! Thomas Jefferson perhaps envisioned America today when he said, “Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not.”
Venezuelans are taking to the streets in anger and defiance of Chavez. They will be slaughtered by the military as they have no way to defend themselves. It will be a long, bloody process for Venezuelans trying to remove Chavez. He will not go gentle into Hell. It most likely will take a Venezuelan military officer giving Mr. Potato Head a .45 caliber headache to return Venezuela to it’s former democratic glory. Americans are blessed to have the ability to protect ourselves against a power-hungry, corrupt group of communists bent on destroying America and enslaving it’s citizens.
AWD attended a tea party seminar last weekend where leaders flew in from all over the country. I spoke with a man from Chicago who spoke of the difficulty in acquiring weapons up there. He told me he had a gun. I told him in Texas we don’t have guns…we have arsenals. Just another reason to love the Lone Star State!
Obama’s goals are plain for us to see. We are a peaceful people and will exercise our right to vote starting in the upcoming primaries. If we are ever prohibited from casting our votes by corrupt politicians, we will without hesitation exercise the other Constitutional rights which will restore the United States to the country envisioned by the Founding Fathers.
Vote out Democrats and RINOs! Muerte a Chavez!

Yes, everything obama is doing is leading us on a path towards a dictatorship and a communist style government. Chavez, or Castro, or Kim-Jong-Il could all be considered the canary in the coal mine of communism. Their dictatorial govts. are fiancially broke and their people enslaved. obama admires these leaders and wants to follow in their footsteps.
The Second Amendment was designed to prevent Americans from a repressive govt. Politicians like obama fear the Second Amendment. obama and Atty. Gen. Holder have stated their opposition to privately owned firearms. They have not made an overt move yet to register/confiscate our guns, but it is on their private agenda. Yes, many of us here in Texas have arsenals. Molon Labe! God Bless Texas!

Foreign talent like hell. The Canadian Oil Fields are running on escaped oil workers who fled from Chavez's Venezuela. Everyone has left.
