Obama seeks $200M to help cities host 9/11 trials
The Obama administration is proposing a $200 million fund to help pay for security costs in cities hosting the trials of accused terrorists such as Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (HAH'-leed shayk moh-HAH'-med).
A congressional aide familiar with the plan says the money will be included in the president's budget being release Monday. The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the spending blueprint hasn't been released.
The administration said late last year the trials would take place in federal court in lower Manhattan, near where the World Trade Center once stood. But there's growing opposition from the city, and the White House is considering moving the trial elsewhere.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg has put the cost of tighter security at $216 million just for the first year after Mohammed and the others were to arrive from Guantanamo Bay.

The word “CITIES” jumped out at me. WTH is THAT about. Station one here, one there, one somewhere else and you've just set up a brilliant scheme to attack major US "CITIES" from several vantage points. He's hated the US from day one and his plan is to destroy us as quickly as possible for his 4 years or his usurp-ness is up.

obama spends money like it grows on trees. That terrorists life is not worth a nickle, let alone over $200M. There should not even be a trial for the SOB. He should be executed. More than likely the trial will focus on interrogation methods and end up putting some Americans on trial. Like the SEAL case and the Ranger Lt. who was sentenced to 25 yrs. for killing a terrorist.

A state of the art second to none facility at GITMO and these douchebags want to spend money we don't have to lawyer up and mirandize terrorist enemy combatant murderers whom are not U. S. citizens and try them in U. S. Federal Courts. Once all useful information has been gathered from these scum they should be tied by the military and summarily executed. WTF is wrong with these people?
