Michelle and Barack Obama Wanted a NON-Religious Christmas and NO Nativity Scene
Obamas balked at WH Nativity scene....OBAMA WANTED 'NON-RELIGIOUS' CHRISTMAS
Obama and the First Family were planning a “non-religious Christmas,” according to Social Secretary Desiree Rogers. Ms. Rogers reportedly told a gathering of former social secretaries that the Obamas did not intend on putting the Nativity scene on display – a longtime East Room tradition.
The account was reported in the Fashion and Style section of The New York Times. The White House confirmed to the Times that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive – but in the end – tradition won out – and the Nativity scene is once again in its traditional East Room spot.
New York Times profile of Desirée Rogers, the currently embattled White House social secretary, suggests there was at least some discussion about backing away from Christmas tradition this year -- not as it involved the tree, but a Nativity scene.
When former social secretaries gave a luncheon to welcome Ms. Rogers earlier this year, one participant said, she surprised them by suggesting the Obamas were planning a “non-religious Christmas” — hardly a surprising idea for an administration making a special effort to reach out to other faiths.
The lunch conversation inevitably turned to whether the White House would display its crèche, customarily placed in a prominent spot in the East Room. Ms. Rogers, this participant said, replied that the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display — a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood. (A White House official confirmed that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the crèche.)
Yet in the end, tradition won out; the executive mansion is now decorated for the Christmas holiday, and the crèche is in its usual East Room spot.

I heard on the radio that Obama and family won’t even be in the WH at Christmas. They’re going to Hawaii, I guess so they won’t have their feelings of inclusivity offended by having to see the creche.
Every year we watch the WH Christmas with the First Lady on tv. We’ll be breaking that tradition for the next 4 years.

I knew he would do something like this-no Jesus. He is truly pissing off the Christians. Going to Hawaii, huh? I wish I could go to Hawaii for Christmas too! He needs to realize the WH is the people's house and if we want it decorated, then it should be. He's only showing he's a Muslim more and more every day. But I thought they didn't celebrate Christmas, so why are they going to Hawaii for Christmas? This couple has no class. They are trailer trash with money.

Obama was able to palm himself off as a Christian to the American People. Hopefully in 2012 people won't fall for it.

obama was hapy to invite muslims to the White House for el-Eid or whatever they were celebrating at the time. He also had no use for the National Day of prayer. obama is a muslim.

Look up the word CHRISTMAS in the dictionary and see that it's the Christian worlds celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, and only 82% of the world population is CHRISTIAN too! "Christmas a Non-religious..." isn't that an oxy-moron. Christ is the first part of the holiday. I noticed he had no problem with the EID holiday whatever that is.

What a shadowy figure. Hidden past, all of his blood relatives are dead. I was reading something in a brit paper that he may be related to Malcolm X, who is also dead. Who knows?

Christian. Like in the Bible it says, by their
fruits you will know them. Every chance Obama
has had to show he is Christian he has shunned,
and he only goes for the things related to Islam.
