A singed pair of underwear with a packet of powder sewn into the crotch, seen in government photos obtained exclusively by ABC News, is all that remains of al Qaeda's attempt to down an American passenger plane over Detroit.

As seen in these photos, the alleged bomb consisted of a packet of powder sewn into the briefs of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian. Al Qaeda took credit Monday for the attempted bombing, boasted of its ability to overcome U.S. intelligence and airport security, and promised new attacks.
The photo shows the slightly charred and singed underpants with the bomb packet still in place. The photo includes a ruler to provide scale.
The failed Nigerian Muslim Airline bomber had 80 grams of PETN sewed into his underwear. Here is a video showing 50 grams of PETN blowing a small tree in two:

Their al qaeda spokesman even stated that this jihad was against the American people not the American military even though it was suspposed to be in response to an airstike we did there.

but it is really hilarious that a smart young engineering student couldn't get the detonator to work and burned his manhood. Even my 7 year old laughed at that. (He burned his weiner off! as she puts it). That is going to be fodder for comedians for years! The Undie bomber! Oh where oh where has my underwear gone? Oh where oh where can it be?
Also, if you decipher that little thing about the virgins correctly, it actually comes out as figs, not virgins. The family gets seed money-72 figs, so they can plant a fig orchard in your name. You might call it the life insurance money.

Luck on our side again. Only the incompetence of the muslim enemies has prevented further terrorists sucesses. One of these days we are going to have to ban muslims to flying their own airlines only.
America's weaknesses in this war with islam are our own PC and our refusal to drill for our own energy. Our oil money is supporting Saudi Arabia which in turn supports much of the islamic terrorist cells.
