Yes, that's what the commander-in-chief said to his troops today in South Korea.

No Afghan decision before Thanksgiving
SEOUL
Obama will not announce his decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan before the Thanksgiving holiday, senior aides said Thursday.
The news came as the president greeted 1,500 troops at Osan Air Base in South Korea, just before boarding Air Force One and heading back to Washington after an eight-day trip to Asia.
Obama said in interviews Wednesday that he would reveal his decision within the next several weeks. On Thursday, aides clarified that there would be no announcement before Thanksgiving.
Obama did not mention the looming decision in his remarks to U.S. troops, referring to the Afghan conflict only by thanking South Korea for its efforts and expressing gratitude to the American military personnel who have served there.
But he did discuss the region in his meeting with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, whose government is sending 150 civilian aid workers to Afghanistan.
Obama arrived on the base 3:19 p.m. local time (1 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) and received a rousing welcome from 1,500 troops in camouflage uniforms, many holding cameras or pointing cellphones to snap pictures.
"You guys make a pretty good photo op," the president said.
Standing on a riser wearing a blue suit and red tie, with a cluster of troops and a large American flag behind him, Obama expressed "the gratitude of the American public" and said his meetings in four countries over eight days in Asia will help deliver a "safer, more prosperous world for all of us."
He got a huge cheer when he told them he was increasing military pay. "That's what you call an applause line," he said, before boarding his jet and taking off at 4:11 p.m.

Soldiers do what they are ordered to do by their Command. Soldiers have also been known to sign up for work detail or hide out in their CHU when certain politicos come to their base so as not to be ordered to attend.
They also smile for the camera and cross their fingers behind their backs.

That's all he wants- a photo op. He knows he looks good. He feels it, the stupid metrosexual. My nephew Joe took the oath yesterday. He's a junior in high school in ROTC. I'm so proud of him. But I can't stand those who are just in it for the pictures, the book deals, the movie rights and the money and nothing else. That breaks my heart. Joe is still working on getting into the Naval Academy to be a Marine Jag officer. What a blessing he is. He is Boog's little brother.

What a Communist whore Obama is. Amen to Eddies comment. My neighbor's kid just went to Afghanistan last Tuesday, we haven't heard from him yet. I'm in the frame of mind of one of my armored crewmen, we were standing for a CS inspection before our tanks in the field after a long hot and dusty day when one of the men in my platoon tried to stuff a BFR down the tube, the procession halted and Top asked what's going on SGT??? My reply was "he's trying to grease the bore First SGT." It was a very short inspection and the 'CIC' took the cue and left, no reprimand, not a word about the aberrant behavior. Top didn't like that pompous ass either. Don't screw with the troops Obama, they might put one up your black ass.

My heart breaks for our beloved and courageous military, both active and veterans. I hope they know that this jerk speaks only for himself, and not for the others of us in this great country. It is all too apparent that he is an enemy of the state. Each time this buffoon talks or acts our marching orders are to walk around him for he is certainly not a part of anyone's free mission. He is a temporary cow on the line. This utter lack of respect for this country's military, and for all of this country's people will only serve to make us a stronger liberty serving nation. Never give up.

Unfortunately for the troops, Obama can't give them a pay raise, only Congress can.
WOW, he spent 52 minutes there but how many did he actually spend with the troops? I would venture to say he may have spent, at the most, 10 minutes with the troops when you consider ground travel times and cermonies involving arrival and departure.

To deny any of the Generals who have advanced to leadership of those in harms way is a traitorious act. He would make a good "Photo Op", laying in the fecal position on the floor.
