The One Republican Vote For Socialized Medicine Was Rep. Anh (Joseph) Cao of Louisiana
One Republican voted for Pelosicare: GOP Rep. Anh (Joseph) Cao of Louisiana. And from the time he was elected, Cao has backed the S-CHIP expansion, the $108 billion IMF bailout, and the omni-waste spending bill. And he voted to rebuke GOP Rep. Joe Wilson for calling out President Obama on his health care lies.
His remarks:
"Louisiana Congressman Anh “Joseph” Cao on Sunday morning released a statement after he voted as the only Republican in favor of the Democratic health care reform bill.
The health care reform bill, dubbed the “Affordable Health Care for America Act” (H.R. 3962), passed the U.S. House of Representatives in a 220 – 215 vote.
“Tonight, I voted to keep taxpayer dollars from funding abortion and to deliver access to affordable health care to the people of Louisiana,” Cao said in a statement released by his office. “I read the versions of the House [health reform] bill. I listened to the countless stories of Orleans and Jefferson Parish citizens whose health care costs are exploding – if they are able to obtain health care at all. Louisianans needs real options for primary care, for mental health care, and for expanded health care for seniors and children.”
Cao wrote he obtained commitment from President Obama that he would work together to address the health care issues of Louisiana, including the FMAP crisis and community disaster loan forgiveness, as well as issues related to Charity and Methodist Hospitals. “I call on all my constituents to support me as I work with him on these issues.”
A little more about him, from March 4th.
On Tuesday, in front of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Rep. Joseph Cao, the first Vietnamese-American elected to Congress, admitted to being a closet case. A “closet Democrat” that is. His exact words were:
A He says “Don’t tell the Republicans, but I might be a closet Democrat,” said Cao to a round of laughter.”

I don’t care if the entire district is liberal democrats. He has an (R) by his name and voted with the (D)s. We do not gain anything by having a republican voting with the democrats on this issue. He is still a traitor to this country as are the other 219 who voted for the bill.

He used the excuse that he lives in a heavily democrat area of Hawaii. BULL SHIT! (oops, sorry guys!) I want a list of who voted for this bill and who did not. Anyone who voted for it is out, I mean it! It's cleaning house time! This bill is unconstitutional and needs to be killed-quickly! Making people buy into a public option plan or pay a 15k fine or go to jail for 5 years is unconstitutional. If Obama was ANY sort of lawyer worth his weight in salt, he would know that. But he doesn't frickin' care about America. He has all the power he wants now and who cares what happens to us. ASSHOLE! (sorry, I'm upset-very upset!) What will future generations think of us now?

Cao is worse than a Democrat, he's the enemy within the gates. He marches under the same flag as you and he wears the same uniform (R) as you but when the time comes, he tosses a grenade in your tent our shoots up the camp. He's no better than that criminal Democrat he replaces, William Jefferson.

What a piece of work this AHole is. He sold out on a promise, that will not be kept, of more money for his district.
Obama and Emanuel, 2 more Aholes, hamstrung him, and he went along.
Looks like Rep. Cao will be like Obama, "One and Done". That is if we are still free to vote come 2010 and 2012.

I wrote a letter to my Rep. Jane harman thanking her for thinking of her Senior Citizens, last night.

Anh Cao is confused as to which party he beongs. These politicians do nothing to win the admiration of anyone. Maybe Cao needs to see a psychiatrist to help him find himself.

My Congressman voted for this POS bill, am writing to ask him why. He suppose to be a "Blue dog" democrat so much for these Fiscal Conservatives. I wonder what they promised him to get his vote. I am going to ask him what part of the bill really got his attention. Was it the part, where the Government will come into you home and tell you and your wife how to raise your children, and that homeschooling is frowned on the Big Government, or is it the fines imposed if you refuse to buy into to this bogus bill. I'm 64 and have to make my first trip to the death panels next year. Is that what convinced you Congressman Carney ? Or maybe it was the 111, One hundred and eleven Brand New Bureaucracies, you have created to spy into our private medical records.
It's been said often lately, but I think Beck came up with it most recently, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Generations of these progressives have tried the same things over and over again, and every time they fail, but a new generation of Lemmings comes along and tries the same old failed policies of the past expecting a different result. For example: the New deal, failed; Social Security, failed; Medicare, failed; Fannie Mae, failed; Freddie Mac, failed, Amtrak, failed; even the Post office is a complete and utter failure. They can't even coordinate well enough to acquire enough vaccine for their Pandemic ... So this is really fits the definition of insanity, and we are the guinea pigs...once again to foot the bill which will probably break the economy.
I truly believe this is what the whole point of this is, as far as obama is concerned. To kill the American economy to put into place his communist agenda.

Mr. CAO replaced Mr. Jeffers of the cold cash fame (bribe Cash in the freezer) as Congressman in an extremely black area off New Orleans that may never have had an honest man in office. At least nobody is going to object to a real republican Republican running for that office in a primary.
Be kind to Mr. Cao while we move him out for someone who understands America. He really does not. He has the education of what amounts to a bright Catholic Priest from Asia. He does not know America and there is not time for on the job training in Congress.
