Prof. Lionel McIntyre Busted in Columbia Gal 'punch' Over Argument About Race
Prof busted in Columbia gal 'punch'
A prominent Columbia architecture professor punched a female university employee in the face at a Harlem bar during a heated argument about race relations, cops said yesterday.
Police busted Lionel McIntyre, 59, for assault yesterday after his bruised victim, Camille Davis, filed charges.
McIntyre and Davis, who works as a production manager in the school's theater department, are both regulars at Toast, a popular university bar on Broadway and 125th Street, sources said.
The professor, who is black, had been engaged in a fiery discussion about "white privilege" with Davis, who is white, and another male regular, who is also white, Friday night at 10:30 when fists started flying, patrons said.
McIntyre, who is known as "Mac" at the bar, shoved Davis, and when the other patron and a bar employee tried to break it up, the prof slugged Davis in the face, witnesses said.
"The punch was so loud, the kitchen workers in the back heard it over all the noise," bar back Richie Velez, 28, told The Post. "I was on my way over when he punched Camille and she fell on top of me."
The other patron involved in the dispute said McIntyre then took a swing at him after he yelled, "You don't hit a woman!"
"He knocked the glasses right off my face," said the man, who would only give his first name as "Shannon." "The punch came out of nowhere. Mac was talking to us about white privilege and what I was doing about it -- apparently I wasn't doing enough."
McIntyre had squabbled with Davis several weeks earlier over issues involving race, witnesses said. As soon as the professor threw the punch Friday, server Rob Dalton and another employee tossed him out.
"It was a real sucker punch," Dalton said. "Camille's a great lady, always nice to everybody, and doesn't deserve anything like this."
Davis was spotted wearing sunglasses yesterday to conceal the black eye. Reached at her Columbia office, she declined to comment on the alleged attack.
McIntyre was released without bail at his arraignment last night.
"It was a very unfortunate event," he said afterwards. "I didn't mean for it to explode the way it did."
Wild Thing's comment.........
Since the topic of conversation was race, and in fact the castigating of one entire racial group, doesn’t this become, by definition, a ‘hate crime’?
If a white professor had gotten into an argument with a black man (or woman), telling the black person that he or she ‘wasn’t doing enough’ about levels of, oh, say, black illegitimacy, black crime, rampant abuse of affirmative action, reverse discrimination, professional victimhood, generational welfare, etc. etc. etc. and then slugged the black person, this would be trumpeted all over the MSM.
Instead the media will just say he was celebrating diversity his way.
......Thank you RAC for sending this to me.

It's getting tougher and tougher being a caucasian these days but if buckwheat pushes to much, he may find himself on the losing end.

Let me make something clear first: it is NOT "minorities" that are ruining this country. No, we are or were all minorities one time or another and I personally don't look at people's skin color or nationality or religion as long as they adhere to the principles of the US constitution. But I am also convinced that those who identify themselves as minorities, and constantly play the minority card, are ruining America. It is UNAMERICAN and UNCONSTITUTIONAL and all other rotten behavior that these people display (pro Islam; anti military; anti democracy; anti freedom of speech; anti christianity, et cetera) is inherently linked to this mentality.
There, I've said it. Now look at your daily news and see I'm right!

Right on the money, Ed.
Almost every person in this Country comes from what was once termed a minority background.
Most of the minorities, worked hard and fought to achieve status. They saw the situation for what it was and refused to accept victimhood. They chose to become a part of the system.
This is what has made the United States of America, the Greatest Nation on Earth, not the whining and moaning, of people like this troll.

I wish I had been there to deck this so-called professor with my walking stick. And I wish I'd been at Fort Hood, home of my father's beloved 4th Infantry Division, with my S&W 686 plus. Now, having said that let me say that if this board continues to have race-hating posts like the first one I'll be gone. I've been watching the History Channel today and the story of the American Nazi Party. I lived through the German Nazi Party of the 1930s and 1940s and the Neo-Nazis of the 1950s and they will come back over my dead body. We don't need that crap in America. It is not American. This website claims to be never anti-American. Well, I think the "buckwheat" comment is anti-American in this particular instance. I myself sure don't find it tough being a 76 year old, half crippled, caucasian in a neighborhood with Mexican Americans, African Americans, Vienamese Americans, Korean Americans, Japanese Americans, Indian Americans, Chinese Americans, Native Americans, Israeli Americans, and yes, Muslim Americans, and a couple of born-poor so-called white Hillbillies like myself all in a two block radius. I just walk around the blocks with a different stick each day and talk to all of them and we are friends and neighbors. I don't know if they would help me in a Sh__ Hit the Fan situation or not, but I'll sure as hell help them because that's what Americans do.

Hurray for Horace! I agree.
Because so-called "minorities" are anti-American doesn't mean that we should become anti-American. And racism or using racist names is despicable.
Of course, I understand the temptation to do use racist lingo when you read what is going on these days in America. We will have to be disciplined and speak up against people that agree with us but behave inappropriately.
I also believe that if this country goes down the drain, the "minorities" will be blamed (wrongfully, because it is socialism/liberalism that is to blame, but the risk is real, unfortunately)! That is another reason why it is a pity that the first black president is Obama, and not some other black american who is more middle of the road, and a real american. A pity, because it risks to turn back the clock on race relations....

Something is separating a lot of us. Part of that something is many minorities deciding to have their own subcultures. Blacks have their own lingo which sometimes I can't understand. Groups of wealthy Blacks in Atlanta and Maryland have started their own all Black neighborhoods because they don't want to live with Whites or others. Major Nadal wasn't yelling "praise Jesus" or "Shalom" as he gunned down non muslim soldiers.
Races can comingle voluntarily, but hate to be forced to. It is a very touchy subject. I have a mixed bag of feelings about it. I try to get along with anybody, but terrorist acts, criminal acts and false cries of discrimination by people using race as a crutch don't help.
Horace. Maybe you should write a letter to Professor McIntyre at Columbia School of Architecture and correct him on his racist and sexist actions at Toast bar. You might also write to President obama and ask him why he declared in his autobiography to be ashamed of the White side of his family, the responsible side.

Well the LEGAL immigrant was the epitome of the American dream. Somehow since the 1960's that dream has gotten convoluted. The American dream is when the government gives the less fortunate their "piece" of the pie.
With all the PC nonsense, the majority of solid obama voters, Professor Shithead included, believe it is their Right to have the American dream. Not just access to it but to have it given to them. They believe it is owed them for past unaddressed grievances, which for the most part exist only in their minds.

Tom, I don't write letters to big shots in Washington any more. With the little time I have left I am trying to be the unhyphenated American in my family and neighborhood. That's all I can handle.
Posted by: horace at November 12, 2009 02:43 PM
Horace - I don't think that letters are read and thought over. I think they just count them and it takes a ton of letters to matter. I seldom write any either.
I am also a unhyphenated American. If someone demands a hyphen I tell them I am an American-American.

How racist of her to provoke him! (Yes, left/libtards actually read this and think that.)

It takes a REAL man to punch a woman.

Nothing matters anymore. This guy is literally above the law because he is black. Every white person at Columbia is a pantywaste for not already beating him up.
This was obviously a hate crime. Not a single person has stuck up for the victim.
The Princeton professor/cop drama got weeks of coverage. This story is not even on cnn.com
I called the network and they said it wasn't newsworthy. I talked to someone who said they were not only aware of this story, but would not air it.
Yet, they run Anna Nicole "Who's the daddy?" stories even now. On their front page right now is yet another article about balloon boy.
Black on white crime is so swept under the rug in this country it is disgusting.
A black person can committ assault on any white person and if there was the slightest thing racial about the events beforehand he will (as we see here) face ZERO CONSEQUENCES.
What a joke.
What a total joke of a country. It's open season on white Americans. This is what we get for saving the world from the Nazis, inventing; cars, internet, highways, and just about every modern feature of life.
We are great enough as a race to put people on the moon. Yet, in our own backyards we are reduced to target practice due to something that has not even existed in 100 years.
This junk will still be going on in 3000. Black people will still be dead last in the human race only they will have reduced life in America closer to what they currently reduce any city to.
America, wake up!
Columbia needs to fire this criminal and he needs to spend time behind bars. The guy never even apologized. Never missed a day of work either.
Next time you disagree with someone at work, punch them as hard as you can in the face. What happens next is that you will be fired on the spot provided you are not black.
If you are black you will probably get promoted because they will blame it on some PC crap.
If you have a black boss there is a 100% chance you will get a raise.

Tom I agree, I wish they would read the
letters I have sent to our government.
LOL But mostly they just get one of those
email generated emails back from them.
