John Kerry talking about Afghanistan said "because of the gross mishandling of this war by past civilian leadership, there are no great options for it's handling today. One American officer captured well our lack of a strategy when he said we haven't been fighting in Afghanistan 8 years, we've been fighting in Afghanistan 1 year, 8 times in a row. That is our inheritance."
Reacting to Kerry's remarks Rush said :
These people are absolutely shameless. They have no guts, nor do they have souls. The Bush-Cheney administration left them with a plan. Robert Gibbs was forced to admit they got the plan and implemented it, in March. You inherited a successful strategy, Senator Kerry, that this man-child president imposed. He implemented it. The gross mishandling of this war by past civilian leadership? There are no great options for its handling? Whatever happened to the concept of winning? There are no great options today? So you are dithering on troops because of Bush and Cheney? This is a party that's lost. This is a party that is dangerous to this country's future and security. These are people who are in a permanent campaign mode, and right now that campaign mode is anti-Bush, and for the simple reason they think that's what will get their irons out of the fire. They get into trouble and they think all they gotta do is mention Bush. And it isn't going to be long before a whole lot of people are saying, "Gosh, I wish Bush was running this."
Ah, isn't it wonderful how history repeats itself, ladies and gentlemen. The North Vietnamese and the Vietcong's favorite Senator, John Kerry, back to undermine another war. He undermined Vietnam; he undermined Iraq, and now he's undermining Afghanistan. So now he's Al-Qaeda's favorite senator, and the Taliban's favorite senator along with the North Vietnamese and Vietcong's favorite senator, and probably the favorite senator of the Khmer Rouge of Pol Pot. He trashed General McChrystal while at the Council on Foreign Relations as well.
'Good Enough' Isn't
War On Terror: Sen. John Kerry, who was so wrong about Iraq, now says our commander in Afghanistan is "reaching too far, too fast" and that a "good enough" policy should suffice. It won't.
Offering his advice on how to micromanage the war against the Taliban, Kerry said Gen. Stanley McChrystal, President Obama's hand-picked general to fight what he called a "war of necessity," is wrong in saying he needs 40,000 more troops to fight and win it.Speaking before the Council on Foreign Relations on Monday, Kerry advocated a "good enough" policy designed not to achieve victory in al-Qaida's former home base but to merely get our troops out of there. "I believe his (McChrystal's) current plan reaches too far, too fast," he said.
Kerry also criticized McChrystal's counterinsurgency strategy, saying, "We don't have to control every hamlet and village."
Yet it was a similar surge in Iraq that brought us victory. By having enough troops to provide security to "every hamlet and village," it showed the Iraqi people we wouldn't abandon them and gave them the courage and support they needed to rise up, reconcile, cooperate and fight for their own country.
In his party's weekly radio address in February 2007, the Massachusetts senator said: "Another 21,000 troops sent into Iraq, with no visible end or strategy, ignores the best advice from our own generals and isn't the best way to keep faith with the courage and commitment of our soldiers." Kerry branded the proposal for additional forces by Gen. David Petraeus, our commander in Iraq, as "nothing more than the escalation of a misguided war."
Kerry was wrong then and he's wrong now. Vietnam vet Kerry, of all people, should be aware of the perils of micromanaging a war from afar, dithering on strategy and settling for less than victory.
More troops by itself is not an answer, but with the right strategy and the right commander they can be the tipping point, as Petraeus showed in Iraq. Once the goal of victory was established, President Bush let his commanders on the ground decide how to get there. Petraeus asked for more troops. He got them. He won.

TWO months ago our troops dialed 911 and Obama put them on hold.

Kerry is hard at work again trying to defeat American troops. Kerry is even using cliches from the Vietnam War. All he needs is his soul mate Hanoi Jane with him. This time he has a smaller audience. The troops already know about him so he cannot dishearten them.
John Kerry is a true professional America hater. I wonder why the people of Massachussets continue to reelect the bastard, but then they like Barney Frank and the Kennedys also.

We, the United States has now got the reputation, at least within the last 40 some years, that if the going gets a little difficult. We will try to get out of our responsibility. Mismanagement, inept leadership or no leadership at all, that's where we are at now. Who the hell told obama Kerry was the one for this job ? This obama can be sold any load of crap and he will believe it. This goes along with his not wanting to celebrate the end of the Evil empire, must go against what he was taught in all his communist classes.
Where does Hanoi John get any credentials when it comes to War management or leadership, the son of a bitch was there for 4 months and spent his time either making home movies or filing for Purple Hearts. He was such a piece of shit that his Swift boat group considered him a pariah, when it came to doing his part on more than one occasion he took off and left his Ship mates short handed. This is the piece of crap they (obama)wants to run the war. Basically because obama wants nothing to do with it. Unbelievable.
