Obama 'green jobs' adviser quits amid controversy
Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs” with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
The resignation comes as Obama is working to regain his footing in the contentious health care debate.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday for his past statements. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones “continues to work in the administration.”
The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones’ name appearing on a petition connected to the events surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. That 2004 petition had asked for congressional hearings and other investigations into whether high-level government officers had allowed the attacks to occur.
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,” Jones said in his resignation statement. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”
Jones said he has been “inundated with calls from across the political spectrum urging me to stay and fight.”
But he said he cannot in good conscience ask his colleagues to spend time and energy defending or explaining his past.
Jones flatly said in an earlier statement that he did not agree with the petition’s stand on the 9/11 attacks and that “it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever.”
As for his other comments he made before joining Obama’s team, Jones said, “If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.”
His apologies did little to quiet Republican demands that the resign.
Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana called for Jones to quit, saying in a statement, “His extremist views and coarse rhetoric have no place in this administration or the public debate.”
Missouri Sen. Christopher Bonds urged Congress to investigate Jones’s fitness for his White House position.
Nancy Sutley chair of the council, said in a statement released early Sunday that she accepts Jones resignation and thanked him for his service.
“Over the last six months, he had been a strong voice for creating jobs that improve energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources,” she said. “We appreciate his hard work and wish him the best moving forward.”

I wish there was a way.... and this would have to come from the elected Republicans using whatever laws or the Constitution perhaps....but if there was some way that Obama would have to get rid of every single CZAR he has. I don't want my tax dollars paying salaries of these CZARS that answer to no one except Obama.
So the Muslim in chief appoints a SELF ADMITTED COMMUNIST and CNN and the rest of the socialist press refuse to cover it.
Now that he has resigned we shall see the ultimate in propaganda, because I am sure they will continue to fail to mention the fact that he is a communist.
I know this could have been milked for weeks in our favor. But it feels sooo good to get rid of at least one communist from this administration and a CZAR to the dictator. One thing for sure there are more like him including Obama.

As boycott continues, Glenn Beck's audience swells
An advertising boycott against Fox News host Glenn Beck has succeeded in keeping most major sponsors from running commercials on his show even as the controversial commentator's viewership has grown.
Beck attracted 2.81 million viewers Monday, his third-largest audience since his show launched on Fox News in January, according to Nielsen Media Research data provided by the network. On Tuesday, nearly 2.7 million viewers tuned in, his fifth-largest viewership to date.
And the conservative host got a plug from former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who urged people to watch his program in a post on her Facebook page.

Color of Change, an African American political advocacy group, organized the boycott last month to protest Beck’s comment that he believes President Obama is a racist. The group succeeded in securing commitments from at least 36 companies that have pledged not to advertise on his show, including Wal-Mart and Sprint. Some, such as AT&T and Procter & Gamble, were not Beck advertisers to begin with, but their ads had mistakenly appeared on the program. Representatives from those companies reiterated their request not to have spots during his show. Later today, Color of Change plans to announce six more companies that also are declining to be Beck advertisers.

Where are the jobs. Since obama has been in office, lost jobs, is almost 2 Million. Van Jones was not about energy as Health Care is not about Health Care. He was all about the 'redistribution of Wealth'. Jones is typical of obama's close friends, they all have one thing in common. They hate America.
Obama says, "this is the greatest nation in the world." Yet, when he visits a foreign country he apologises for America. He says he's interested in green energy, yet sends Billions to South America to help drill for oil.
Obama's a communist, his friends are communists. We got rid of one, one down and 33 to go, actually including him, 34.

Van Jones, (not his real name), resignation was faulted only in that he did not take the rest of the crooks with him as he left. And, won't he be but a cell phone call away from b. Hussein Obummer?
The liberal left made much noise about how illegally George W. and Dick Cheney were doing things but none of the claims ever proved valid. These guys brag about how criminal they are and if we bitch, we are called racists. Good for them! You can tell when the other side is in the wrong- they have no decent rebuttal to our claims. As they've done many times in the past several decades, they resign, then get a position in another government job and keep working for their Party. How many more communists did he appoint while he was in office? Like termites, we close off one tunnel and they just make another and keep eating our house.

Good riddance Van Jones. I think that as long as the pressure continues obama may lose a few more czars and there will be at least some restriction put on his cabinet's dealings.
People like Glenn Beck are one of the reasons obama wants to control radio programming. You can bet blog sites like this one are one of the reasons he also wants to control the internet.
obama is assuming the ruling powers of a king and not the serving duties of the US President. Our First Amendment free speech is getting in his way.
BTW, has anyone else noted that when he gets on and off the helicopter or AF1, that he salutes the guard in a feminine way?
