Taliban to Germany: Leave Afghanistan or lose Oktoberfest
The Taliban have a new target: beer and bratwurst.
In perhaps their most bizarre threat to date, Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan have threatened to bomb the Oktoberfest festival in Munich, Germany, which attracts millions of visitors ever year, along with several
landmark buildings and government officials.
The threats, while perhaps farfetched, follow a series of warnings from the Taliban and Al Qaeda and underscores a concerted effort by the insurgents to weaken Germany’s resolve for the fight in Afghanistan.
Germany has responded by banning all air flights over Munich for the rest of the 16-day festival, which
ends Oct. 4.
The threats were delivered in a series of videotapes issued by the Taliban on Friday, the Guardian reported.
One features a German-speaking militant named Ajjub.
The videos coincide with a recent warning to Germany issued by Osama Bin Laden, delivered in Arabic with German subtitles, as The Christian Science Monitor reported.
In fact, for the past two weeks, in the runup to Germany’s elections on Sunday, the Taliban and Al Qaeda
have issued several messages, as Germany’s Deutsche Welle news service reports.
The insurgents' threat to bomb the famous festival is apparently meant to weaken Germany's resolve for
the fight in Afghanistan. It follows similar warnings issued by the Taliban and Al Qaeda ahead of Sunday's elections.

If you really want to piss off the Germans, mess with their Beer.
Erich Koehler lived in a small town in Germany, was a brewry, when the allies were bombing, they would pass this little town, then one day one the B-24's dropped out of formation, and came in to drop bombs on the brewry, blew it completely up. The people in the town were furious, What kind monster would purposely bomb a brewery. Later it was found out they were making Bomb sites on the top floor of the brewry...True story as told to me by Erich.
Hopefully Merkel and the German Government will not be intimidated by this. She don't like obama so thats a good start.

You don't go messin' with Germans and their beer! That's a cardinal sin. It's like taking the Guinness away from the Irish and the Haggis from the Scots. Beer is Germany's bloodline. They have the best Oktoberfest.
The Taliban is getting stranger and stranger. I suppose they'd tell us to leave or lose Sunday night football?

That like muslims. Go after soft, non imposing targets. Germany is full of muzzies. If a bombing occurs at Oktoberfest it might just set the Germans off and start a housecleaning.
