Echoes Van Jones on using 'environmental justice' to redistribute money

It is "desirable" to redistribute America's wealth to poorer nations, argued President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein.
According to Sunstein, global climate change is primarily the fault of U.S. environmental behavior and can, therefore, be used as a mechanism to redistribute the country's wealth.
The argument bears striking resemblance to comments made by Obama's former environmental adviser, Van Jones. WND reported Jones used a major environmental convention to argue for spreading America's wealth.
The Obama czar penned a 2007 University of Chicago Law School paper – obtained and reviewed by WND – in which he debated whether America should pay "justice" to the world by entering into a compensation agreement that would be a net financial loss for the U.S.
Sunstein heavily leans on the side of such an agreement, particularly a worldwide carbon tax that would heavily tariff the U.S.
A prominent theme throughout Sunstein's 39-page paper, entitled "Climate Change Justice," maintains U.S. wealth should be redistributed to poorer nations. He uses terms such as "distributive justice" several times. The paper was written with fellow attorney Eric A. Posner
"It is even possible that desirable redistribution is more likely to occur through climate change policy than otherwise, or to be accomplished more effectively through climate policy than through direct foreign aid," wrote Sunstein.
He posited: "We agree that if the United States does spend a great deal on emissions reductions as part of an international agreement, and if the agreement does give particular help to disadvantaged people, considerations of distributive justice support its action, even if better redistributive mechanisms are imaginable.
"If the United States agrees to participate in a climate change agreement on terms that are not in the nation's interest, but that help the world as a whole, there would be no reason for complaint, certainly if such participation is more helpful to poor nations than conventional foreign-aid alternatives," he wrote.
Sunstein maintains: "If we care about social welfare, we should approve of a situation in which a wealthy nation is willing to engage in a degree of self-sacrifice when the world benefits more than that nation loses."
Sunstein is not the only Obama czar to make such an argument. Van Jones made similar remarks before he resigned earlier this month after WND exposed he is an admitted radical communist.
Two weeks before Jones started his White House job in March, he delivered the keynote address at Power Shift '09, billed as the largest youth summit on climate change in history. A reported 12,000 young people were at the D.C. Convention Center for the event.
During his speech, available on YouTube, Jones used terms such as "eco-apartheid" and "green for some," and preached about spreading the wealth while positing a call to "change the whole system."
In one section of his 29-minute speech, Jones referenced "our Native American brothers and sisters" who, he claimed, were "pushed," "bullied," "mistreated" and "shoved into all the land that we didn't want."
"Guess what?" Jones continued. "Give them the wealth! Give them then wealth! No justice on stolen land ... we owe them a debt."
"We have to create a green economy, that's true, that's true. But we have to create a green economy that Dr. King would be proud of," Jones exclaimed.

Can’t we redistribute our Czars instead?
If justice requires that we should pay the undeveloped nations for whatever pollution or consumption of raw materials or whatever else; shouldn't they have to pay us for all the advances we have made in medicine, agriculture, communications, science, and innumerable or areas ? Not to mention the many billions of foreign aid and peace keeping services throughout the world.
One of the few proposals Obama made in the Senate was one that would create sort of a global welfare system. Obama hired this guy because he agrees with this idea.
The socialist/communist/fascists are in control of our Country!

No, it is NOT desirable! We already give more than any nation on the face of the planet in medical care, teachers, infrastructure workers, religious people-I could go on and on. We also come to the rescue of poorer nations with food and care and we ask NOTHING in return. They call, we haul. That's the American way. Our ancestors came from those other lands, so we help wherever we can. Cass Sunscreen is an idiot.

Isn't it wonderful that sucstein and obama want to give the world our money. How friggin wonderful, especially whan it is someone elses money.
If they were really sincere in helping the world why are they not First in line to give the world THEIR OWN MONEY FIRST.
After all their claim is everyone in America has stolen their wealth from the rest of the world of has gotten our Wealth dishonestly, meaning they too stole their money.
Wouldn't it be a sign of great leadership for them to be first in line with their checkbooks to hand away their OWN money first.
This of course will never happen. Because they are the biggest crooks of all. They want the power and their own money, instead they will take it from hard working Americans and give that away. NOT THEIR OWN. Silly me. Its really easy to give away money especially when it aint your own.

Obama and his gang of socialist a*&holes are trying their hardest to see that our standard of living becomes on a par with Kenya, or perhaps Somalia. Congress under the Pelosi/Reis duo sits by with their heads up their butts.

This is pure Marxism. Give our wealth to the Third World. They will just blow it on "bling". America and Americans worked for our wealth. We have shared a lot of it.
It has been proven that these socialists/Marxist themselves give very little to charity. The tax returns of Al Gore and the Clintons showed very little giving even though they are all wealthy. Obama gave very little until the last two years when he knew he was going to run for the presidency.
Sunstein is a dangerous communist radical. He is being given power unheard of until obama's czars system. This unconstitutional system of going around our elected(though mostly corrupt) Congress has to be stopped and disbanded.
I really hope enough Americans awake by 2010 to begin dismantling this horrible communistic government obama is building.

Now that Blowbama and his commie pals have broken the bank, they are now throwing our allies in Europe under the bus just like Israel. They want to be in bed with the likes of Putin, Castro and Chavez. I pray everyday that the Mossad will become active again because they are the best at what they do.
