Two money lines in this one. At the two minute mark he's asked about public input on any bill and he says ... I'll be back in a year. Then at 2:34 when he's asked about HR 3400 (The Republican plan) he says he doesn't know about it. It's followed by a young woman who speaks up.

Just came back from a Townhall meeting with Artless Spectre. Waited in line for 87 minutes, asphalt all over the place, 91 degrees, people older than me passing out, ambulance called, she's ok heat prostration( guess she didn't take her salt tablets)the line stretched for 3 blocks at the Bucknell campus. Across from the tiny Auditorium is the Bucknell Football field, nobody there, perfect spot for the damn Townhall meeting...No that's too easy. Finally, the line starts moving, after 30 minutes we get to within 100 yards of the door...they close the door and re route everybody to an auditorium with a television.
We decided to go to Perkins for dinner. Met a few people who actually made it to the aud. They numbered about 30 people the rest of the seats were taken with SEIU dumbasses, saw a couple SEIU roaming without a clue earlier. The people we ran into at Perkiins, said 'they' were not allowed to ask questions so they left. Cards were passed out only those people could ask a question.
The purpose according to these eye witnesses, was for Spector to give the DNC talking points. In one instance he told one person he didn't know but he would have to read that page. According to Spector, earlier, there was no Senate Bill. How do you read somethihng that doesn't exist.
Then there was the lady behind us in line. Who couldn't wait for the Single payer plan. I said you actually want this crap, Oh yes, she said, I can't get insurance. She had some malady but was perfectly healthy and couldn't seem to get insurance and afterall its so expensive. I said, so its all right for the rest of us to pay for it that would make you happy. At that point I turned around and tried to ignore her. but she kept at it. She kept saying she was perfectly healthy but couldn't get insurance. Come to find out she worked for the same Hospital my wifes does. She retired at 61 and refused to pick up the coverage when she left. Finally I said, " it really sucks to be You". At that point my wife hit me and I shut up.
The whole purpose of these Townhall meetings is purely political just get out the talking points to tell you what a deal I have for you. Shoot, these shysters couldn't make a good used car salesman.
They are not give and take they are one sided and they don't want to hear what you have to say and their mind is made up. So much for listening to your constituents. The only time they need us is to vote for them...well screw that I vote for anybody that is running against these idiots.

When you did your comment in another post about it, I was working on gathering the videos from Specter, so this is great to have your experience what happened to add to it.
I agree it is all about power and control over we the people and very political. I would love to hear just one politician say....after hearing all of your comments and the knowledge of how we are finding the majority of people feel about this bill I plan on voting NO and you can count on it. Well I know that is a dream but it would be soooo wonderful.

The dems are getting the hang of this. Exclude everyone who looks like trouble, i.e. a taxpayer. They should realize though that those purple SEIU shirts are like waving a red flag in front of a bull. They are synonymous with ACORN these days.

I think I know why Spector said there was no Senate Bill to read. I think that was their daily talking point because I caught McCaskill saying that, too, but she actually explained herself.
She said they have some 600 page thing still in committee that we can see on some .gov site. She said the House is who has the 1100 page monster and its not a bill yet, either, it hasn't been voted on except to come out of committee. Tomatoes, tomaatoes, you know what I mean? Today's deflection of the issues. That shit IS written in those "potential" bills, and the scarier part is the vague parts of those bills.
Spector has the talking point, he just doesn't know why he's supposed to say it...lol.

Ths Senate Bill is on the DefendyourHealthcare.com(?) Betsey McCaughey. It is a pdf file and about 615 pages long. The language is much more sophisticated than the House bill. McCaskill said it is still in committee, Spectre says there is no bill. Bottomline neither have read the bill or have a clue of whats in it and are pushing the basic guidelines obama is pushing at them. There were a lot of people there and none of them were happy, at least, for us paid for Republicans, you know I represent the corporations. Someone asked me who I was and I said I was a corporate shil, with my Brooks Brothers Dungarees, T-shirt and work boots. The wife was all dolled up fancy blue jeans, sneakers, and a real expensive blue lace top. After showing up at the protest, we paid for our dinner at Perkins with the Corporate Credit Card. We would've gone to the Checkered Flag for Country Fried steak special, which is every third Tuesday of the month, but they don't take the CCC.
I refuse to defend either one of these two dimwits because they come to a townhall meeting and try to bullshit their way past the public, who they hold in disdain anyway. I saw first hand today how their people handle the people. Nobody was prepared for the older lady who passed out, the somebody on the steps called Evangellical Hospital to come to the campus. Campus security was as lax as it could be. the Union thugs roamed freely and were in and out of the Auditorium all the time we were standing in line.
One of those maggots passed us with his purple shirt and in big yellow letters," I vote for Health Care", I said, to him "I vote Pro-life". Talk about a mind numbed robot, he looked at me as if he had no idea of what I was talking about. In other words their leaders could tell them the moon is made of green cheese and they'd believe it. These are the rightful owners of this country ? I don't think so.
I think the democrats are scared to death about what we are doing. They know full well their are democrats and moderates portesting too. Obama's boat is sinking faster than the Titanic, and he keeps lying about this bill. His flunkies, Spectre, Kathleen Sanger Siebilius and McCaskill are lying too. The people are not stupid they see right through this scam. The people know, THIS BILL IS NOT ABOUT HEALTH CARE REFORM, and the people there today knew it. It is about control and to us it is about the loss of freedom and Liberty.
Thats what I saw and perceived while there. Tom said it, these people are just narcissits,self-serving pigs and could care less about what we think. These Townhall meetings prove that. We didn't waste our time though we are getting our message across, they are getting scared, for one, they are calling us names and 2, they are calling out the Union thugs for protection from a bunch of basically all Seniors. We are making our case. That makes it all worth it.

Thanks for the report Mark. You just confirmed what most of us thought. The Dems use of union dimwits really ticks me off. I dealt with unions many years ago and no one can convince me there is much good about them. I keep hoping they go the way of the dinosaurs.
Specter needed to be retired 20 years ago. He is another dinosaur.
AARP neds to die also.
This obama health care is either going to kill America or it is going to fail and take a lot of garbage(unions, Specter)with it. One of my fears is that it will fail, but the Dems will continue to nickel and dime the plan into action over a longer period of time.

are not a waste of time. Someone at the
gym today said ," I have been watching on

and I feel like I am not alone in wanting

I told her, you are among even more people
than you see, a lot of people don't get
on camera and many are working and can't
get off to go too.
