Quite a story. Different, better times then. I'm glad I grew up with parents of that era. My father was a WWII vet, my mom the dedicated wife. We kids were well guided through childhood.
Isn't it amazing that country western music seems to be the only music that promotes patriotism.

Mark, DITTO that.
When I was on a visit back home one of my
friends from growing up told me she was not
saying no to her kids. I said what? How come
what is wrong with no you can't do that.
She said it would instil negativity and it
was better for her children to learn on
their own why something was bad.
I almost fainted. It was from some book she
read by a touchie feelie leftie.
