Canada-Top Doctor Says System 'imploding' !
Overhauling health-care system tops agenda at annual meeting of Canada's doctors

The incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association says this country's health-care system is sick and doctors need to develop a plan to cure it.
Dr. Anne Doig says patients are getting less than optimal care and she adds that physicians from across the country - who will gather in Saskatoon on Sunday for their annual meeting - recognize that changes must be made.
"We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize," Doing said in an interview with The Canadian Press.
"We know that there must be change," she said. "We're all running flat out, we're all just trying to stay ahead of the immediate day-to-day demands."
His thoughts on the issue are already clear. Ouellet has been saying since his return that "a health-care revolution has passed us by," that it's possible to make wait lists disappear while maintaining universal coverage and "that competition should be welcomed, not feared."
In other words, Ouellet believes there could be a role for private health-care delivery within the public system.
He has also said the Canadian system could be restructured to focus on patients if hospitals and other health-care institutions received funding based on the patients they treat, instead of an annual, lump-sum budget. This "activity-based funding" would be an incentive to provide more efficient care, he has said.

The Canadians now realize they need to fix their system because they won’t be able to get care in the USA under the ObamaCare Death Panel system.
This REALLY makes me even more ticked off. We watched as the EU voted and went more conservative. Not conservative like we are here at this blog but compared to how liberal they have been they did vote to go more conservative in their own way. And now we hear how Canada finally sees how screwed up they have been and need to make changes.
BUT what is our country doing, we have a socialist, communist, Marxist bound and determined to destroy our country and take total control over our lives, health insurance care whatever, our industry, our internet, you name it. Obama wants to copy a system that’s about to go bust!! How brain dead is that?
Anolther thing, Canada does not cover illegals. America does and has been for decades.
WTF is wrong with this picture! Sorry but when I think of all the lives that fought for this country to keep us free, and how our Founding Fathers would kick Obama in his Muslim loving ass if they were here........... it just gets to be too much. Thank God for the Townhalls where we can speak out, carry signs and let our voice or at least our presence be heard and seen. The turnouts for these are very important.
I hope Canada does get their act together, there are people that die there ONLY because of their horrible set up for medical care and office visits and surgery. People in the thousands, waiting for surgery dates years away. Totally unacceptable care imo. Canadians are great people and they deserve better.

obama promised that ALL Americans would heve the exact same health care he has. Does that mean that we will have a physician, ambulance and EMTs on call outside our door 24 hrs a day?
In the long run obama and this attack on our health care may be a good thing for America. It may wake up some people who just don't pay attention or care. They may realize how easy it is to lose their freedoms from the inside without a foreign invasion.

somehow say that, yell it out or something.
If all the Congress and Senate people
were going to be under the same control
it would not even be up for a vote. I wish
we could really push that as one of the
points of it being so horrible.
That is a good point too Tom,I think it
is waking a lot of people up.

If this was really about saving Health Care, someone would be listening to the countries who already have this mess. It has nothing to do with health care and they know it.
