Bill O'Reilly Pens Love Letter to Obama in Parade Magazine
Bill O'Reilly Pens Love Letter to Obama in Parade Magazine
By Carl M. CannonSenior Washington Correspondent
Fox News commentator and human lightning rod Bill O'Reilly is considered one of the most polarizing and partisan talk-festers on TV – or at least that's been his reputation until now. All that may change on Sunday, when the combative conservative's Parade magazine piece carried in newspapers coast to coast hits front lawns and porches all over America.
Titled "What President Obama Can Teach America's Kids," O'Reilly prefaces his essay with an assertion that few reputable sociologists would quarrel with – that "the disruption of the American family" is adversely affecting millions of the nation's young people. "Our modern age presents vast challenges to children, and they need to learn lessons quickly in order to prosper," O'Reilly adds. "And who better to teach them than the President of the United States?"
O'Reilly takes note of Obama's own "tough" childhood, one characterized by a nomadic single parent and bouts of loneliness. He avers that Obama's ability to turn these constraints into a life of singular achievement provides a wonderful lesson for all of America's young people.
"His achievement presents five important lessons for all children," Reilly states. The five traits identified by O'Reilly – traits embodied in Obama's life story – are the following:
Forgiveness
Respect
Persistence
Hard work
The idea that in America, anything is possible.
The last lesson is especially applicable. Indeed, the list of examples proving that "anything is possible" in this country might include a certain essay published on Aug. 9, 2009. That will go down as the date when Bill O'Reilly put down his boxing gloves, disarmed his critics, lauded a liberal Democratic president, and did Fox News proud in the process. And it wasn't even Father's Day.
"You can be well educated and still as dumb as a rock. Like Rush said, “He’s Ted Baxter”. .
.
Wild Thing's comment.......
Obama can teach America's kids to be nasty, mean-spirited, acidically partisan street punks who tell their opponents to shut up and sends union goons to beat up elderly people and blacks who show up to exercise their free speech rights at townhall meetings. What a great role model! NOT!

Oreilly's been a rino in Leftist clothing he has been an obama supporter from the get go. He's trying to make nice with the libs hoping they will play nice back. They do this over and over again, this is how we got McCain for a candidate. He will get another invite to the View and Good Morning America but that will be the end of it. The left will find him amusing, like a cat does with a wounded bird, then they will kill him and put him out of his misery.
Then when they turn their back for a minute the left puts a knife in it. Someday he'll learn but not for awhile.

Memo to Bill O'Reilly: You're on top, riding the waves of glory, the pinnacle of success at Fox but like that proverbial monkey climbing the tree we are seeing more and more of the backside as you are being exposed. Once at the top there is only one way to go, so be damned careful who you step on on your ascent because you'll sure as hell meet them on your way down. Straddling that fence between being a NY liberal or a as you prefer to ID yourself a Libertarian will only make you sore and magnify your liberalism.
O'Reilly has pretty much lost me as a viewer and once the ratings fall he's toast!!!

I am one who was turned off by Bill O'Reilly from the start. I thought of him as a phony tough guy. He talked the tough talk but walked a punk's walk. I never understood his audience's infactuation with him. That he turned to praising obama does not surprise me. O'Reilly is hollow. Hope he destructs soon.

Tom, yes he is phony.
I hope he desrtructs soon too. I would love
for them to let him go and put someone else
in his spot.
Mark Levin would have no time,
but oh my gosh he would be so awesome.
