Many Senior AARP members are mad and want to talk to a rep in Congress, but are deceived by this call to get them to put in their zipcode for a YES vote for the activists...

Seniors beware! The AARP, claiming to represent you, is supporting the Obama Health Reform bill which is financed on your back.
Obama maintains that overall the changes in health-care are helpful to seniors and will save them thousands of dollars. Not so. Seniors are the big losers under ObamaCare according to Betsy McCaughey, the expert who has studied all the congressional bills. In an attempt to make the cost deficit-neutral, which Obama declares is the goal, $500-$550 billion is to be taken away from Medicare spending, this at a time when approximately 75,000,000 Americans will be added to Medicare rosters as the baby boom generation ages.
ObamaCare will squeeze funds from Medicare by cutting payments to doctors, nurses, hospitals and drug companies. The result will be fewer doctors willing to take Medicare patients .e. to work for a fraction of their legitimate fees. Seniors will be herded into groups, which will receive slower, less personal and less consistent care from doctors and other health care providers. There will be less money for the medical devices that minimize the handicaps of disability.
For starters, ObamaCare proposes that seniors shift from use of specialists to primary-care doctors, on the misconception that the elderly overuse specialists. Betsy McCaughey reports that studies have shown that for heart patients, a shift to primary care results in a higher death rate. Primary-care physicians frequently misdiagnose heart patients, who are more often readmitted to the hospital. The patients not treated by specialists die sooner.
House Bill 3200 mandates that each senior meet every five years with a consultant in advanced care planning who will help in planning for end of each senior’s life.

Me too. No AARP for me. I'm tired of seeing them on tv. My mother has AARP and it hasn't really helped her with discounts, but she gets a free magazine every month. Oh boy! A free magazine. In a few short years, I will become eligible for it and I don't want it. I also do not want to go to an end of life counselor every 5 years to determine if I am eligible to live or not. That's complete nonsense and stupid. Comes right out of Soylent Green. Turn yourself in for ritual murder (your own by your own government). I want to spend my golden years with my children and grandchildren, enjoying what life God gave to me, sitting in the sun, playing in the snow, taking them to the zoo and enjoying what is left of my "natural" life. I don't want that to be chosen for me. I don't want to know the day I will die. I want it to come naturally, as God planned for me.

It has been my understanding that AARP had its beginning as the teachers union. When they wanted to enlarge their constituency, they changed the name to AARP; disguising their self as the supporter of the elderly. Their total reason for existence is to further the power of the unions, and to dismantle this great country and economy.

Chris Dodd, has cancer. He is 65, Is he going to get the End of Life counseling, will he have to submit to all the inhuman indignitites the rest of us will have to endure. Will AARP come to his rescue. I don't think so.
He will not be subjected to the same humiliation any normal Senior would get from this Mengele bill.
The Emanuell's both of those brothers are all for this. They want us in Wheel Chairs instead of a hip replaccement, of Knee surgery, or dead because we can't get help for Type 2 Diabetes.
Once this bill passes we are done as a freedom loving country. Because our freedom will be gone, Our lives will be governed by some Bureaucrat in Washington who could care less whether we get a new hip or insulin for the diabetes. Because it may take some care away from somebody younger who is still contributing to the STATE.

Mark, this healthcare bull shit came to mind as soon as I heard about Dodd's cancer this morning. I thought that under this plan of his he would be dead in about a year. Then I remembered of course that our elected elitists have a vastly superior plan payed for life by us taxpayers. obama looked straight into the camera during and after the election and promised all Americans would have EXACTLY the same medical coverage he has. BS.
As far as AARP. They have proven over and over again to be a liberal group trying to provide a large bloc vote to Democrats. I know some conservative minded seniors who join AARP anyway just for the insurance benefits. To quote Wild Thing, Grrrrrrr----!!

that really ticks me off.
This whole obamacare is only for
we the people not for the politicians.
This is HUGE and wrong in every way.
Make Dodd and Kennedy and anyone else
have to have it too, with the same
horrible things in it.

The problem for advanced societies is it usually means that they also have advanced in medical technology. That technology is extending lives that otherwise would have expired long ago. It's an undeniable fact that research & technology are obscenely expensive to fund. The cost ratio to benefit is dangerously out of alignment. All western governments, including my own are terrified of the avalanche of elderly that are set to hit the medical & aged care sectors. Past and present governments have ALL failed to plan ahead for the tidal wave set to hit us. They knew about the baby boomers and did NADA! In past decades hip replacements and complicated medical procedures (like heart & lung transplants)were only for the wealthy that could afford them. Now everybody wants then. People are living far longer than our grandparents did, and that is having a unsustainable effect on medical services....that is just a fact. Couple all this with penny pinching beurocrats, shrinking our health budgets, a doctor & nurse shortage, and a out of control health insurance industry, then you see the whole things becomes a horrible nightmare. But still, things could be worse. If you live in a country like Pakistan there is no such thing as welfare and health insurance is non existent. Your family is responsible for looking after you if you find yourself unemployed or ill. If you cannot afford medical treatment or medicine, your last hope is that a religious body will help you out. Other than that (as far as their government is concerned)you are on your own....literally. My advice for those about to retire....don't, until you are sure you can finance your own medical needs and eventually, nursing home fees. My husband is about to retire at 60. We have done our homework and calculated that our funds will last us until the age of 92. We both have health issues now....so I don't see us living to that ripe old age. Just remember, governments by their nature are NOT compassionate. All they care about is the bottom line and balancing their budgets. Once you become a non taxpaying citizen you are seen as a liability. Life in the 21st century is just as cruel as it was back in the 16th century. So protect yourselves!
