CNN Wrong Once Again ~ Hawaii Contradicts CNN Chief Jon Klein
CNN wrong once again – birth record not destroyed
Hawaii contradicts network boss' claim that Obama certificate no longer exists
Directly contradicting CNN chief Jon Klein – who ordered host Lou Dobbs to quit discussing President Obama's birth certificate – the Hawaii Department of Health affirmed that no paper birth certificates were destroyed when the department moved to electronic record-keeping.
"I am not aware of any birth certificate records that have been destroyed by the department," Janice Okubo, public information officer for the Hawaii DOH, told WND. "When the department went electronic in 2001, vital records, whether in paper form or any other form, [were] maintained. We don't destroy records."
Okubo affirmed that beginning in 2001, all vital records, including birth records, moved to electronic formats.
"Any records that we had in paper or any other form before 2001 are still in file within the department," she insisted. "We have not destroyed any vital statistics records that we have."
Last Thursday, Klein, CNN's U.S. president, told staffers of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" the issue of Obama's birth certificate and his eligibility to be president is a "dead" story.
According to MediaBistro.com, Klein wrote in an e-mail that CNN researchers found Hawaiian records were discarded in 2001 when the state's records system went electronic. Therefore, Klein said, Obama's original long-form birth certificate no longer exists. A computer-generated abbreviated version that has been promoted on the Internet is the official record, he said.
"It seems to definitively answer the question," Klein wrote. "Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead – because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef."
Hawaii's Okubu refused to say whether the DOH has Obama's original long-form birth certificate, explaining state law prohibited her from commenting on the birth records of any specific person.
Okubu's refusal to comment on the status of Obama's long-form birth certificate seemed to contradict an Oct. 31, 2008, letter by Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of health for the state of Hawaii. Fukino claimed she personally saw and could verify that Hawaii had Obama's original long-form birth certificate on file.
But both Okubu and Fukino are now on the record contradicting CNN's claim that Hawaii had destroyed Obama's long-form birth certificate when the health department went electronic in 2001.
The White House has refused to acknowledge repeated requests from WND that Obama authorize the Hawaii DOH to release all his birth records, including his original long-form birth certificate.
Lou Dobbs: Just produce birth certificate
CNN anchor says Obama's presidential actions could be 'illegal'
After being attacked by groups ranging from the Southern Poverty Law Center to Media Matters for relentlessly calling on Barack Obama to prove his eligibility for the office of the presidency, CNN's Lou Dobbs wasn't backing off on either his syndicated radio or his television program today.
Once again, he renewed his calls for Obama to produce his long-form birth certificate that would settle doubts about where he was born and offered that the president's actions could actually be "illegal."
Dobbs took on the special-interest groups demanding that CNN shut him up.
"The left is trying to silence their opponents and their competitors in the public marketplace of ideas," he said on his radio show. "One issue in which the ethnocentric issue groups have been trying to silence me is on the issue of illegal immigration. Many of those, if you will, have migrated to me here recently because I, even though I said I believe the president is a citizen of the United States, I don't understand why he shouldn't produce a birth certificate. My God, you're talking about the third rail of American journalism, baby! That's it. I'm not going to back off."
Now members of the Daily Kos website, which bills itself as "the largest progressive community blog in the United States," have turned up the heat even more by listing CNN executives' email addresses in a campaign to get Dobbs fired from the network.
"Lou Dobbs is an idiot and he should be booted off CNN for his obsession with President Obama's birth certificate," writes Daily Kos diarist kerouacforobama. "We need to get these far-right haters off the air."

Wild Thing's comment........
Wow this is starting to go out of control for the Obamunists.
I know this is a serious thing but this is getting funnier every day! LOL So the crack research staff at CNN that said they investigated the matter was...wrong. Wow! Good grief.
And Father's Race = African ???
I doubt very much the designation of "African" would have been used in 1961. That's not a race.
.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Shit!!!. I know what happened, BHO's real birth certificate was lost on the 'Nung River' when John Kerry (a legend in his own mind) was smuggling it out on that covert mission into Cambodia,"the horror", "the horror", he dropped it when his own grenade knocked him into the water where he was badly shot up and had to be evacuated to save Massachusetts and his Kennedy brothers.
The term everyone is afraid of saying is 'NEGRO'. His father was as black as his mother was loose.
That was the term used by everyone before they became African-Americans and grew their hyphens and their reverend spokesmen.
There isn't any yellowing or changes in color tone on that 'official document' of course that RB's birth certificate isn't as old as mine. One thing stands out on the certified birth certificates of myself, my wife and my daughter, none are typed, all are filled in by hand, mine and my wife's are written in script, the daughters is printed by hand.
I have the original, a photo copy and the certified birth certificate, you need the certified copy for a passport, unless you have a foreign birth certificate and passport, perhaps Indonesian.
Selamat pagi

Kos turning on the heads of CNN, great stuff. The Left is really getting riled up(worried?) over this growing controversy. It can be settled one way, and obama continues to refuse to show the original BC. If it was produced and he was shown to be born in Hawaii, then he should still be held accountable for all the trouble he has caused for not simply producing it in the beginning. A lose-lose situation for obama. But one of those loses of course would bring him down.
Jack is right. In the 50s/60s the term used on official papers was NEGRO.

Yeah African is a stretch for 1961 a real long stretch. It certainly would be Negro and not the PC African. Hell, back then African could have meant Egyptian. This is still bogus and as Jack says, they would have been hand written.

"Lou Dobbs is an idiot and he should be booted off CNN for his obsession with President Obama´s birth certificate," and "We need to get these far-right haters off the air."
An ad hominem argument of zero value, zero respect for free speech, and zero respect for the US Constitution.
PS: From WorldNetDaily," Petition For Public Release of Barack Hussein Obama´s Birth Certificate," at http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageld=81550, with total signatures, 7/29/09: 430,208. (I agree in the petition.)

I would like the state of Hawaii to produce every birth certificate from 1961 where the race was entered as "AFRICAN".
