With Al Franken Dems Get 60
After Court Ruling, Coleman Concedes to Franken in Minnesota Senate Battle
After the Minnesota high court rejects a legal challenge from Norm Coleman, the Republican concedes to Democrat Al Franken in the state's Senate race.
Ending an eight-month legal battle, Republican Norm Coleman conceded Tuesday to Democrat Al Franken in the Minnesota Senate race after the state's high court ruled that Franken should be certified as the winner.
Though Coleman could have tried to take the case to the federal Supreme Court, he told reporters outside his home in St. Paul that continuing to drag out his challenge would hurt his state.
"I just had a conversation with Al Franken congratulating him on his victory," Coleman said. "The Supreme Court of Minnesota has spoken. I respect its decision and I will abide by its result. ...We have reached the point where further litigation damages the unity of our state."
The Minnesota Supreme Court has ordered that Democrat Al Franken be certified as the winner of the state's long-running Senate race.
The high court rejected a legal challenge from Republican Norm Coleman, whose options for regaining the Senate seat are dwindling.
Justices said Franken is entitled to the election certificate he needs to assume office.
When Franken is sworn in, he'll give Democrats a big enough majority to overcome Republican filibusters.

Wild Thing's comment........
Al Franken the crook who’s Air America franchise embezzled tax payer money from a children’s charity.
Ono the way home I just heard on talk radio that Franken is "essentially a "ticking time bomb". He's unpredictable and scares the democrats as much as anyone. They're reported to be *NOT* looking forward to working with him. He's going to be a huge embarrassment to them."
If that is true about how many of the dems feel about him then it would be the ONLY up side to this.
Did not Caligula make his horse a Roman Senator? Well, not be outdone, a true horse’s ass now sits in the U. S. Senate. As a nation have truly sunk to a new level of depravity and darkness.
My God... WHAT has happened to our country???
And what about Cap and Trade in the Senate?
Unless the GOP doesn’t start to take on ACORN and similar organizations we can kiss free elections goodbye forever.
Then there is his stupid book:
Today, Rush Limbaugh today compared the results of Minnesota's senate election to the corrupt, obviously rigged election in Iran.
" Just like in our country. Norm Coleman wins in Minnesota in a recount, and they keep having recounts, and Al Franken wins. So they had the recount in Iran, and shazzam! Ahmadinejad gained votes!"
Limbaugh made the comments before the Supreme Court ruled 5-0 for Franken.
....Thank you Richard for sending this to me.

No emetic needed. Another Dhimmi senator, a bought and paid for judge and instant 'justice'.
A discarded condom has more brains inside it than Al 'Air America' Franken.
Why do we have elections, just submit a list of names and let the judges pick them for us?

It makes one wonder about the mentality of the people in Minnesota who voted for Franken. I believe some people think these elections are nothing but a joke. They're not going to be laughing much longer, unless they're government subsidized welfare recipients who do nothing but leach off those who work for a living.

Amazing how votes were found in car trunks after the election and Oh yeah they count.
If ever an election was stolen this has got to be the sloppiest one yet.
Regardless of what kind of joke this idiot is he is the 60th vote to run along with the other clowns in the circus in DC. This makes the democrat controlled Senate virtually Bullet proof.
Are we ever going to be busy making phone calls.

Mark, thanks for mentioning that. That was

Wild Thing Asked: My God... WHAT has happened to our country???
I am not God, but this is my take on this whole dumb thing that was election 2008:
We readers here all appreciate that this great country offers most of us the chance to vote; just as it offers most of us the chance to drive a car. The difference being that no one sees anything wrong with having to take a test to drive. Isn't voting as potentially dangerous as driving? Why no test?
Americans know more about the layout of the parking lot at the mall than they do about government, and the use of their money.
Americans, we are so screwed!

Back when there were only three networks thay used to pick the biggest idiot thy could find and the netwark would dubhim as the spokesman. Now we hav a spokesman for the DNC who will be "America's newest Senator."
