Obamas to Spend a Family Weekend in Paris
It's a family weekend in Paris for the Obamas.
A White House official says 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha will join their mother, first lady Michelle Obama, when she flies to Paris on Friday to join President Barack Obama.
It will be their first excursion abroad as daughters of an American president.
President Obama arrives in Paris on Friday for a meeting Saturday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and D-Day commemorations in Normandy. He is scheduled to return to the White House on Sunday, but Mrs. Obama and the girls planned to linger in Paris.
French newspapers are speculating that the Obamas, and possibly their daughters, will dine atop the Eiffel Tower.

Barack and Michelle Obama decline dinner with the Sarkozys
The Obamas turn up in Paris this evening, but have declined a dinner invitation from the couple next door: the Sarkozys.
President Obama’s reluctance to spend more than minimum time with the French leader on his visit for the D-Day anniversary has come as an embarrassment to the Elysée Palace.
America’s First Family will not be dining with President Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, even though they are staying at the residence of the US Ambassador, yards from the Elysée apartments where the Sarkozys spend their weekends.
Mr Sarkozy’s staff were trying yesterday to arrange another private moment between the couples. Mr Obama is due to fly back to Washington tomorrow night or on Sunday.
Mr Sarkozy’s dream date would be dinner somewhere spectacular such as the Jules Verne, an Alain Ducasse restaurant on the Eiffel Tower. The Obamas were reported on French celebrity websites to be planning a meal there.
A glamorous joint outing might be compared with the ones that President de Gaulle undertook with John and Jackie Kennedy in 1961. On that trip, Mrs Kennedy was such a hit that JFK presented himself as “the man who accompanied Jackie Kennedy to Paris”.
Failure to socialise with the Obamas will add to mockery that has greeted Mr Sarkozy’s attempts to stage the 65th anniversary of D-Day as a “Barack and Sarko show”. The media and Opposition have mocked Mr Sarkozy over Mr Obama’s coolness towards him, which is only partly due to his handling of the Normandy commemoration.
Mr Sarkozy has been pilloried in France for his failure to invite the Queen to the events. “The palace is fearing a snub,” Le Parisien newspaper said yesterday after the news emerged of the Obamas’ plans to keep themselves to themselves.
The French were also piqued after the White House said that it was working on an invitation to Normandy for the Royal Family. Face was saved when the Prince of Wales agreed to attend with Gordon Brown. “Sarkozy has pulled off a double hit: insulting Queen Elizabeth and exasperating Obama,” the weekly Canard Enchaîné said on Wednesday.
French worries about being snubbed were matched in Germany, where media and politicians are convinced that the brevity of Mr Obama’s trip there and a decision to avoid Berlin demonstrated his disapproval of Angela Merkel, the Chancellor. Mr Obama was due in Germany last night for a visit to Dresden and the Buchenwald death camp.
Mr Obama’s irritation with his French counterpart began when Mr Sarkozy tried to grab the limelight at the G20 summit in London in April and talked condescendingly of the US President in private. Mr Sarkozy told colleagues that he found Mr Obama to be inexperienced and unbriefed, especially on climate change. Mr Obama hit back last month, telling a visiting French minister: “Please tell Nicolas that I shall do my homework, and in two months I’ll know all about climate change.”
The leaders will have lunch in Caen tomorrow while their wives meet near by. They will then all attend the ceremony at the US cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, above Omaha Beach.

Obama obviously is much more comfortable with his religious and cultural soul mate Mohammedans. Sarkozy and Carla ought to be relieved they don’t have to make nice with the clods , Obama and the First Victim .

Maybe the Obama's are going to spend their time in the muslim ghettos teaching the ‘youths’ how to better ‘community organize’.

Once again, Obama is showing himself to a petulant brat of a man. Coupled with his ruinously expensive public spending projects, he truly is becoming our Emperor Nero.
Obama is a class A moron when it comes to protocol, yes Sarkozy said Obama was a lightweight... in over his head after their first meeting, but that is not the point imo when this kind of thing is between two leaders of countries. It comes with the territory and Obama needs to learn he can't act like a spoiled brat and get beyond comments made.
But Obama showed all of us during his campaign how he deals with slights. Can you imagine if George W. Bush had done a website of being picked on, was rude to France or some of the other counties because they were not part of the War along side our country?
Yes Obama and Sarkozy will get together but not for the diner Sarkozy was hoping for. I think that is shameful and Obama had a chance to show he had class and a better person. By the snub by Obama about the dinner, he only showed what a lightweight he is, Sarkozy was right about that one thing for sure.
The way Barack and his wife have behaved with leaders of other countries, the horrible gifts they have given the not having the protocol dinners when a leader comes to Washington so many things, there is NO statesmanship, ......it screams how they are pure Ghetto and have no intention of even trying to learn Presidential traditions and how things are done when holding the office of President.
Barack and Michelle Obama are spoiled and selfish who only think of themselves.People like this never understand it is not about them. They are embarrassing with no class.

This is not quite the way it happened.
D-Day memorials are historically a big deal every decade. Sarkozy had planned no "big" international memorial this year.
Then Hussein butted in, probably because he doesn't plan on being around for the 70th anniversary.
Anyway, The Mohammedan Messiah invited himself at the last minute on his way back from visiting his brothers in faith in the Middle East.
When UK PM Gordon Brown heard that Hussein would be there he wanted in on the photo op, especially given the fact that his Labour Party is in meltdown along with the UK's economy.
These complications left Sarkozys administration in a bind. Sarkozy and Hussein are heads of state. If PM Brown goes to the memorial, Sarkozy must invite UK head of state, The Queen.
The last minute arrangements, all neatly and purposefully caused by Obama, has caused quite the political turmoil.
And there was also the time when the Obamas' stopped in the Czech republic and chose not to meet the prime minister but rather have a dinner alone together.
The reasoning being at the time was that the Czech leader had previously publicly attacked comrade Obamsky.
It just keeps getting more obvious he hates whites and loves Muslims. Black Liberation Politics dictates that white western civilization is evil. Mohammedanism is to be exalted. Witness Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan,etc. Black Liberation is a tool of Communists.
He’s in Paris on our dime. He should consider this a professional obligation.Instead Barack and Michelle treat these things as vacations for themselves and not a trip for our country. “Date Night” in the “Big Apple” on the country's nickel, weekend in Paris, again on the country's nickel. And then throw in the Photo Op at Normandy , because that is all it is to Obama is a photo op and nothing more, he is a POS.

Snubs all the way around. This is the new era of obama. To top it off the slimey asshole is going to desecrate Normandy where better men than he fought and bled.
How much is it going to cost taxpayers to fly obama's royal family to Paris for dinner? You notice that again Michelle did not accompany him on his visits to the muslim countries. She obviously refuses to wear a burkha or walk ten paces behind The One.

Obama's becoming quite the Pariah in the Western Hemisphere. Sarkosy, Merkle, Prime Minister of England, the Queen...Nobody seems to like Erkle. Back home he's managed a Zero approval rating.

means nothing to him.

even see her doing what others have done and
wear a simple scarf on their heads. That is
