HAHN, GermanyAs President Obama prepared to leave Washington to fly to the Middle East, he conducted several television and radio interviews at the White House to frame the goals for a five-day trip, including the highly-anticipated speech Thursday at Cairo University in Egypt.
In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”...
Was that an observation or a wish?
“What I want to do is to create a better dialogue so that the Muslim world understands more effectively how the United States, but also how the West thinks about many of these difficult issues like terrorism, like democracy, to discuss the framework for what’s happened in Iraq and Afghanistan and our outreach to Iran, and also how we view the prospects for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Mr. Obama said.
The president said the United States and other parts of the Western world “have to educate ourselves more effectively on Islam.”
I'm all for that. And I hereby offer my services to assist in this great effort.
“And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” Mr. Obama said. “And so there’s got to be a better dialogue and a better understanding between the two peoples.”...

“I think the most important thing I want to tell young people is that, regardless of your faith, those who build as opposed to those who destroy I think leave a lasting legacy, not only for themselves but also for their nations,” Mr. Obama said. “And the impulse towards destruction as opposed to how can we study science and mathematics and restore the incredible scientific and knowledge — the output that came about during centuries of Islamic culture.”...

First he said in the past......... "America is not a Christian country," while abroad, and now he tell a French reporter that "America is the largest Muslim nation."
I repeat, what a Maroon. The man, and I use the term loosely, will say any fool thing that pops into his head that might ingratiate him with the "target audience". He apperently doesn't even care if it's true.
He must be talking about the additional 7 States me spoke of during his campaign..."the 57 States."
Please God, make him go away.

Yes, we have a lot of muslims in this nation, but more Christians and Jews. Obama is as dumb as a bag of hammers without the hammers! You don't go saying things like that. He suffers from foot in mouth disease and is to be avoided at all costs. He got it from Buttplug Biden. And now Sonya Sotomayor has it, too!
It appears he's trying to push America to become a Muslim nation and those of us who don't follow Islam will be put to the sword. Esau must be rolling over in his grave!

Shiite!!! If we keep letting the muzzies immigrate here we will be a muslim nation. Screw GW for not stopping that when he had the perfect excuse. I want fewer muzzies in America than there are Catholic cathedrals in Saudi Arabia.
I also think we should make it a requirement that all presidents have served in combat and never smoked pot or did cocaine. Maybe we would get a president with a good dose of reality instead of these reach across to the muzzies. Of course now we have a real muzzie as prez. We are so screwed!

The more I think about it this Religion thing at the Most Reverand Wright's AME church was merely for Show, to get the American People convinced that he was christian, Since throwing the Wright under the Bus. He hasn't seen the inside of a Christian Church. Since the immaculation, he has visited plenty of Mosks on his 10 apology trips.
This past campaign has been the ultimate swindle on the grandest scale. Because enough Americans bought the whole loaf, some are just beginning to realize, this bread is sour.

Currently about 0.6% of the United States population is Muslim. That would account to about 186,000 (using the US Census 2008 estimate of 304 million). There are more Buddhists (0.7%), more Jewish (1.7%), more Mormon (1.7%), and even more Jehovah's Witnesses (0.7%) than Muslim. For Protestant, it is 51.3% and Roman Catholic 23.9%. These numbers come from the CIA World Factbook (online).
The 2007 CIA Factbook states that Iraq has a population of 27 million, and Iran has a population of 66 million. So I have no idea where Obama is pulling this number from.. other than his *CENSORED* As usual, Obama is "changing" facts (like he does with history from time to time) to suit his "butt kissing" "love me" speeches.
Using the CIA World Factbook of Protestant 51.3% and Roman Catholic 23.9%, this accounts for around 75% of our population, or about 230 million. I don't think Obama wants to push this issue and piss this many people off, calling us a Muslim nation. Of course, we as a nation won't get an apology again... but he sure will apologize to the rest of the world for everything........................ can I say ass kisser and not have the Secret Service knock on my door?
