Pro skateboarder takes a glide through White House
Hey, kids, don't try this at home. Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk on Friday took a brief ride at the White House as part of a Father's Day celebration.
Hawk, 41, skated in the grand foyer and the nearby Old Executive Office Building, with the permission of White House officials.
The skateboarding icon, also known for his popular brand of skateboarding video games, posted photos to his Web site and Twitter page.
One photo shows Hawk on his skateboard with his hands in the air in what appears to be a hallway.
"...and here is my exit," he wrote in a message on Twitter, which linked to a picture of him skating. "Supposed to return at noon for the First Fathers event if they let me back in."
Hawk posted other insights from his Washington visit on his Twitter page, telling fans about eating Frosted Flakes cereal inside the gates of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. In another tweet, he says "back at White House, Tweeting live from the Diplomatic Room. Unbelievable."
Hawk joined other dads, athletes and celebrities at a Father's Day forum hosted by President Barack Obama. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay helped man the barbecue grills for a White House picnic for the attendees, which included NBA players Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and Etan Thomas of the Washington Wizards.
"The Prez addressing all of us fathers before we split up to visit DC charities," Hawk tweeted. "D Wade & Etan T make me feel short."

I'm speechless. Why, why, why is it okay for Obama to treat the White House - OUR HOUSE - as a skate park in an attempt to ... I don't know... be the Cool President, the Nontraditional President.......For me, it just says "Thug."
This is not about small children playing or doing fun things at all. Hawk is 41 and NONE of this had to happen.
I guess there is nothing happening in the world.....like North Korea, a major recession, Iran, two automakers bankrupt, collapse of the dollar, corruption, etc.. Does Mr. Obama have no fiddle?

Too many have paid too dearly for us to allow these bozos to sell out our principles like some two-bit ho. Citizens are losing faith in Obamugabe's programs yet they still claim to love the guy-what's up with that ? When will this "ROCKSTAR" crap wear off ??

The White House is 195 years old this August 14, the first one was burnt down by the British in 1814. Pesidents have a long history of doing wierd stuff when there, TR had Ponies at the White House for his kids, and rumor has it the kids would sneak the ponies into the White House, a good kids story. I suppose if the Kids had done it, it would be more cute but a professional Skate Boarder is obscene.

More disturbing is why a 41 year old man would still be riding around on a skateboard. Kind of distracts for the appeal of his fame--wonder if he still lives with his Mom.
I think we should look at it this way, just for sanity's sake. The White House will be given a complete renovation after this crew leaves. They are so disrespectful in every day life, you know they treat government property poorly.
PS...Jack gave me a tip to check my registry for mess ups, and I got a program that cleaned it up and I'm able to stay on the computer indefinitely again...lol...instead of ten minutes and a lock up. So if you see this Jack, thanks for putting that in my head. I have a huge mostly empty hard drive and 1 g ram, but the program found 360 registry errors...yowza.

I get around 60 register errors a week on mine but I hack a lot of files too.
I had installed AVG anti-virus on my newly upgraded hard drive too, it was working great until AVG upgraded their execute program, lordy it got slow. After dealing with it all winter I downloaded Avira to a folder, booted up in safe mode and removed AVG, then rebooted and installed Avira, it runs like a hot sports car now. I don't let anyone upgrade my computer online but Avira's daily update, not even Bill Gate's Microsoft, I always download and install it myself. Also I reinstalled my custom hosts file yesterday, so far it's doing it's job too. There's no place like home, 127.0.0.1. I'm so happy for you Eden.
