Fired Inspector General Gerald Walpin Says He's Being Targeted
Fired inspector general Gerald Walpin slammed Barack Obama today for the "most incredible smear."
Last week, Obama fired inspector general Gerald Walpin after he identified millions of dollars in AmeriCorps funds that were wasted or misspent. The man in charge of Americorps is a top Obama supporter and friend. Mayor Kevin Johnson used AmeriCorps grants to pay volunteers to engage in school-board political activities, run personal errands for Johnson and even wash his car.
Yesterday Team Obama said he was "confused" and had to be fired!!
Walpin responded:
"I think for them to say that I was disoriented was an amazing, amazing slinging of mud... Frankly what they're saying, anybody who knows me and everybody who knows me and those people who've heard me on television, those people who've heard me on radio, know that this is the most incredible smear that has ever occurred to someone only because he's standing up to the most powerful machine on earth."
As I posted the other day he was replaced by Michelle Obama's friend.
The government watchdog President Obama canned for allegedly being "confused" and "disoriented" fired back sharply Wednesday, saying the White House explanation for removing him was "insufficient," "baseless" and "absolutely wild."
Gerald Walpin, who until last week was the inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community Service, told FOXNews.com that part of Obama's explanation was a "total lie" and that he feels he's got a target on his back for political reasons.
"I am now the target of the most powerful man in this country, with an army of aides whose major responsibility today seems to be to attack me and get rid of me," Walpin said.
Facing bi-partisan criticism for the firing, Obama sought to allay congressional concerns with a letter to Senate leaders Tuesday evening explaining his decision. In the letter, White House Special Counsel Norman Eisen wrote that Walpin was "confused" and "disoriented" at a recent board meeting, was "unduly disruptive," and exhibited a "lack of candor" in providing information to decision makers.
"That's a total lie," Walpin said of the latter charge. And he said the accusation that he was dazed and confused at one meeting out of many was astonishing as rationale for his ouster.
“It appears to suggest that I was removed because I was disabled — based on one occasion out of hundreds,” he said.
“I would never say President Obama doesn’t have the capacity to continue to serve because of his (statement) that there are 56 states,” Walpin said, adding that the same holds for Vice President Biden and his “many express confusions that have been highlighted by the media.”

Obama said “57 states”, not “56”, but that is not a big deal and it sure doesn't mean the man is confused.

This whole thing started with Walpin's investigation of St. Hope Academy and Kevin Johnson's irregular use of federal grant money. Johnson, friend of Obama and current mayor of Sacramento, may have more problems upcoming, no matter who is trying to give him cover.

The Sacramento mayor is not in jail because he is a bud of BO’s..that is why this man was fired he had the nerve to tell on the rats friend.

To borrow a phrase from Clarence Thomas' defense of himself during his SCOTUS judiciary committee hearing, those accusations are "Kafkaesque", baseless accusations coming from all directions.
This all brings the old USSR and other totalitarian regimes to mind and how they accused and discredited any deviants from the party line. Or maybe its just SOP in Chicago politics.

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, is looking for more documentation. "Grassley, a frequent defender of government watchdogs, fired off thinly veiled accusations against the administration in his letter.
"Inspectors general have a statutory duty to report to Congress. Intimidation or retaliation against those who freely communicate their concerns to members of the House and Senate cannot be tolerated," Grassley wrote. "This is especially true when such concerns are as legitimate and meritorious as Mr. Walpin's appear to be."
In prepared testimony Wednesday, Grassley also threatened to "hold up" Justice Department nominees until his questions on Walpin, and other matters, are answered.

I watched him talking with Glenn Beck last evening. He was asked similar questions that my wife is asked at the neurologist for her memory. He never faltered. I say not confused with the questions.

This is a scam and a fraud, Michelle is involved in this and it is rumored that she wanted him fired because her close friend has just been put in charge of 'Americorps' and there is a huge discrenpency of money missing, over 100 million dollars to Obama's friend Kevin Johnson. But officially he is 'disoriented' and confused.
Almost the same diagnosis of James Forrestal, May 22, 1949 who was put in Bethesda Naval Hospital on the 16th floor and jump out a window.
The whole problem with that one, Windows on the 16th floor didn't open and the window wasn't broken. Talk about a cover up, this is one of the biggest.
Walpin was on GB a couple of times and is not confused or disoriented, he is very sharp. But this is a demcrat congress and Prez so anything goes.

Sure looks and smells like a smear and a coverup. obama and his bunch are very experienced at this. It is common to Chicago politics where the Mighty O was trained. If Michelle is involved it really makes me think it's a hatchet job.
I am sure we will see more of these incidents as the obamas try to emulate the crookedness of the Clintons.

For a few of we kiddies, remember a fellow, Communist Lev Davidovich Bronstein, the man was not only persecuted but he was not left as a loose end either. I see the same destructive tendencies in the current administration, they are out to destroy Inspector General Gerald Walpin, he knows too much and he's publicly resisting his termination. Dangerous tact under any Communist organization, Obama's or Stalin's. Will he meet the fate of Ron Brown, James McDougal, Vince Foster or that of Georgi Markov? Barack has the playbook and is calling the shots!!!
