Sickening to hear this, I am so sick of these people and what they say about America.
Gates mentions how other countries don't do the apology thing...... well yes did you ever think that maybe they love their countries?????? He not only agrees with Obama but he also is all for cut backs in things our military needs.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

The only thing America has to apologize for should be coming from those that elected this man caused disaster called B. Hussein Obama Soetoro or whatever his name is.

Arrogance is good. It's been paid for. Reference the picture in this post of the US Cemetary in Normandy.
I even tell the union basket cases that I have worked with in the past that I do have an attitude. It is paid to date. The proof is the blue ID card in my wallet.
So to the "dear leader" go pound sand up your commie ass!

Arrogant? Yep. Honest? Yep. Loyal? You betcha. We are the descendants of those who were either made to leave or left foreign lands on our own because we were fed up with the politicals, the religious fervor, whatever to find a place of our own. That's what makes us unique in all the world. I'm arrogant, stubborn, domineering and I'm proud of that. Americans have nothing to apologize for. What about the arrogancy that the other lands are showing toward us? Are they going to apologize? No.
Yes, glorious, illustrious leader-go pound sand and take that ugly mutt of yours with you.

Gates disappoints me. He is a "yes" man. At least under Bush he gave Gen Petraeus the go ahead for The Surge.
In my times overseas I never heard foreigners requesting apologies from America. It seems like the foreigners either wanted our help or wanted to come to America.

Listen here O'Vomit, I am an American who has served and shed blood for my country. I love my country. You are an arrogant, stupid ass kissing bottom feeder. Get back in the pond where you came from so that we can move our country in the right direction. And BTW jerkwad, kiss my white ass.

Ditto the above. We've suffered a plethora of UN suppliants in the position of Secretary of Defense since 1947, Robert Gates is just one more in a long progression of them.
The position was created in 1947 when the Navy, Army, and newly created Air Force were merged into the new National Military Establishment. In the same massive reorganization, the Secretary of War was replaced by the Secretary of the Army and, along with the Secretary of the Navy and the new Secretary of the Air Force, became non-Cabinet positions placed under the Secretary of Defense. In 1949, the National Military Establishment was renamed the Department of Defense, which remains the current name of the department.
A few of us survived Robert McNamara's and Clark Clifford's attempts to get us killed. I didn't like Melvin Laird either. In excess of 58,193 paid the price for their blunders and chickenshit policies, not including those who suffer from Agent orange, physical and mental wounds.
Here is the list of Secretaries of Defense since it's inception. It started with solid military leaders then devolved into a subservient functionary positions of the United Nations, ran by bureaucrats. They are lower than that portion of a lizard's anatomy which the lizards are dragging in the dirt. Lizard Dick's. I don't see many on that list that I'd trust anywhere.
James Forrestal
Louis A. Johnson
George Marshall
Robert A. Lovett
Charles Erwin Wilson
Neil H. McElroy
Thomas S. Gates, Jr.
Robert McNamara
Clark Clifford
Melvin Laird
Elliot Richardson
James R. Schlesinger
Donald Rumsfeld
Harold Brown
Caspar Weinberger
Frank Carlucci
Dick Cheney
Les Aspin
William Perry
William Cohen
Donald Rumsfeld
Robert Gates

I didn't like Gates from the day Bush hired him. Sorry, I liked Rumsfeld. At least he loved the Military unlike Gates or the bamster who obviously seem to dispise it.
During the Gulf War I thought Cheney was great. But as Tom said, Gates is a 'yes man' for hussein obama.

Geez, and here I originally had some confidence in gates. Just shows you how friggin' naive and young I am. The phrase "Et Tu Brute?" comes to mind. Also for the nay sayers and deniers of how bad for America obama is, maybe they should read "First They Came" by Martin Niemoller, but it's probably too deep for my idiot peers.
"When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.
And when they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out."
The same applies today but, now it's Conservatives, Gun Owners, Military Members, Patriots, Constitutionalists, and other "America First" people.

Bob A., HUGE Amen to what you said.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 07:51 PM
Glenn Cassel AMH1(AW) USN RET, I agree
a thousand percent. Well said my friend!!!
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 07:53 PM
Lynn, I agree, they have a lot of nerve
to even think like they do.
Your absolutley right, Americans have
nothing to apologize for.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 07:55 PM
Tom, I noticed that too, not on one single
trip did I ever hear anyone say that our
country need to make apologies for anything.
I am so sick of these presidents like Carter
and Clinton did it too, he had an apology
tour.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 07:58 PM
cuchieddie (DHS suspected terrorist)),giggle
AMEN to that.
And like Tom said this Gates guy is a yes
man, he should be the one that stands for
our troops not standing with Obama against
our troops and our country.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 08:01 PM
Jack , thank you soooo much for this list. Gosh
I remember so many of them. It is so great to see
this list of so many I wish more of them were
good guys instead of bad guys.
As I have posted about on here before I
was always a fan of Rumsfeld that is why
I got disapponited when he was not the one
with the surge. He does and did love our
troops.
Maybe they (the left) wore him down or it
came from Bush I am not sure.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 08:06 PM
Mark, I am a huge Cheney fan, maybe it is a
father thing but I have always liked him.
The same with Rummy, I always liked him too.
I saw the name William Cohen and it brought
back a lot of times how angry I was at him.
He is a total rino like so many on the list.
Posted by: Wild Thing at May 4, 2009 08:10 PM
JohnE PFC U.S. Army, thank you!!!
The thing is Gates is not an evil man, but
Obama is and if Gates becomes a yes man to
Obama he will do more harm then good. It is
sad and also an outrage for Gates to do this.
He doesn't have to, that is what a republilcan
given a position by Obama needs to realize.
They are a republlican not a dem they can
disagree with Obama. But for a rino it is
impossible to do that. So we are all learning
what Gates is made of, I would not be him for
anything.
