Obama and Democrats SOCIALIZED Medicine aka Health Care Rationing
.
On April 20, 2009, Senators Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, and Max Baucus (D-Mont.), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, sent a letter to President Obama laying out their commitment to mark-up comprehensive health care reform legislation by early June. The senators' joint letter expressed an intention to take a shared approach to health care reform legislation, so that the measures the committees report can be quickly merged into a single bill for consideration by the full Senate. “We have a moral duty to ensure that every American can get quality health care. We must act to contain the growth of health care costs to ensure our economic stability; to help American businesses deal with the health care challenge; and to make sure we are getting our money’s worth,” the senators wrote.
.
Senate Democrats already are holding hearings and hammering out legislative language expected to be introduced in June. A tentative timetable sets floor debate and votes for late July or August.
The House, with its oversized Democratic majority, would follow the Senate action, setting the stage for conference committee negotiations by the end of the year.
Americans are going to go off on vacation and come back to a completely made-over health care system that will ration services and interpose the government between the doctor and the patient. Incredibly, MSM is almost wholly silent on the details of the radical restructuring of American medicine. Reporters know all of the slogans and none of the details, and they haven't been pushing for answers.
.
Senator Baucus is not the only one interested in keeping options open. The senator joined the Center for American Progress on Monday to announce the re-formation of Doctors for America, a grassroots organization of over 11,000 doctors in support of health care reform. Formerly known as Doctors for Obama, the group during the 2008 campaign advocated Barack Obama's proposal for a government-managed option.
So, "Doctors for Obama" became "Doctors for America," and it supports "a government-managed option." What a surprise. There are about 800,000 doctors in the US, so the 11,000 Obama docs are less than 1.5% of docs. Where's the AMA? And the silence from AARP is deafening as its core constituency gets pushed closer and closer to a rationing system that will deny them treatment first.

Wild Thing's comment.........
This is going to be very negative and I am not a negative person. But this subject, well, there is no way not to be. The reality is almost beyond words how it will change our country.
Obama continues to show his twisted mind and cold heart that shows greater compassion for captured terrorists than for American citizens. We should abolish the “Congressional Entitlement” health coverage and retirement and se how they like it when they have to be under the same health care they are pushing.
Government run health care will dispose of the excellent American medical system as most of us have known it all our lives.
Long periods of training are required for excellent medical care and under a medical run system which dictates who gets care and what kind of care is given, the brightest and best will no longer choose to go into medicine.
As I understand it, the first leg of the Obama plan will be to limit pay to hospitals and doctors (most people think doctors are rich which is a myth. They make up only about 15% of the cost of medical care). The consequences to that is that a lot of hospitals will go out of business and many doctors will stop practicing medicine to do other things.
The next leg of the Obama care as I understand it will be to ration care. Forget a parents scans and treatments if she is over 55. If she is no longer a working part of the “collective” society, she may be toast and on her own medically. I have two friends that died because of socialized medicine, one in England and one in Canada.
The horrible consequences to all this may not be recognized until Obama and this Congress are no longer in office. The President and Congress at that time will be blamed for it.
In the end, poor and rationed medical care will effect society in many ways. Chronically sick people cannot be productive, creative or happy. Life will be drained of energy and hope for millions. Americans do not comprehend this now because most, whether insured or not, get the most excellent medical care and attention the world has ever known.
It is too bad that those physicians have to learn first hand that their profession is about to be changed in a way which will not be anything like what they envisioned when they chose it.
God bless all our medical personnel and God help the medical academic centers who undoubtedly see the future and grieve for it.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

If they believe it's a moral imperative that all Americans have healthcare, then why don't they pay for it themselves. I don't believe it's a moral imperative, so why should I pay for it?
But hey, I'm smoking as fast as I can ~ you know, for the children!
But what about us older folks??? Are we going to be put on an iceberg and left there to die when we are determined to be useless? Oh wait ~ that won't work. The icebergs are melting...damn! We be swimmin' with the polar bears, I guess.

I know this sounds biased, but why should I, being a working American not have better health care than some dumb idiot who sits on his porch and does nothing to contribute to society. While I feel for poverty stricken children, grown ups need to realize that I work hard for the little bit I get and I deserve to have some comforts in life and have the government out of my health care! I deserve better. I'm a working American! I have three jobs-my main job, my business and I'm a mother. I deserve the best! Period!

Why do you think they are legalizing euthanasia in addition to abortion on demand nationally? National health care ensures it's enforcement by their eugenics department.
I've visited the future, at the Alaska Native Hospital, I was disturbed at what I saw there in the bureaucracy, I was not there to be treated. Then there is a clear example of the caliber of doctors socialized medicine attracts, all it takes is a friend in the business, ie Obama? The future will be rife with deadwood because it will discourage excellence and attract the halfwits and incompetents, Australia has a prime example of the problem with one of their socialized medico's who migrated to the US wreaking death and destruction, to be shuttled from hospital to hospital before being booted out. The AMA is not our friend.

Nowhere in The Constitution does it say the Federal government will control our healthcare industry. This is just another move toward socialism by nationalising a major industry. Obama and the Democrats are really on the fast track to total government control of our lives. Sadly we don't have the numbers in Congress to stop this crime.

From what Morris says, the Amount of Doctors has increased about 1% and Nurses, new Grads, have not increased at all maintained the status quo. Where the number of Lawyers have increased by 10%. It must be easier to become a liar...er Lawyer than a doctor.
Now before Nationalized Health Care, they have gotten into PA's, Physicians Assistants. In some HMO's you don't even get to see a Doctor until you are referred to a specialist. This is with the present system. Now add 50 Million extra Patients and you will never see a doctor and appointments will be off in the fututre somewhere beyond the scope of the disease you may have.
I am sure the older the patient the fewer services he will be available to him. Cost will be a continued problem and if you are terminal forget it they will ship you some place where you can waste away.
So this will get rid of the Older generational burden on they system. I would not be surprized if families are limited to 1 or 2 kids, anything else will have to go via abortion.
The left blamed Bush for the lack of Stem Cell research, which was a lie, because it was never stopped, just not paid for by Government. But there big deal was all these patients would have been saved. Not with Nationalized Health care. So with the addition of 50 Million patients, where is all the money going to come from for Research, on Stem Cells or whatever.
The latest I hear is Doctors and Nurses will have to take a pay cut, but will still have to fork over hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for mal-practice insurance. So what incentive will there be for new Doctors to come into the field. There certainly won't be any shortage of lawyers to sue them.
This is a Lose-Lose situation for the country.

Lynn, I know what you mean. I agree, and
the other day a woman said to me that
just wait Chrissie when you get older you
will be a socialist and want the government
to take care of you. I swear I almost walked
right off the treadmill I was on at the gym.
I told her I am sure Obama appreciates her
loyalty and what flavor of kool-aid was her
favorite. She had no idea what I meant.

Jack, thanks for sharing about that. OH man
this is so horrible. I just can't believe
it really might happen. I was so proud of
our country all my life for being above
the fray of countries that fell for this
BS. Now we will be just like the rest of
them.

Mark, thank you, oh my gosh and I had
forgotten about the mal-practice insurance
so thank you. Yes there is that part of it
too.
