Vatican Blocks Caroline Kennedy Appointment As US Ambassador
Vatican blocks Caroline Kennedy appointment as US ambassador
Vatican sources told Il Giornale that their support for abortion disqualified Ms Kennedy and other Roman Catholics President Barack Obama had been seeking to appoint.
Mr Obama was reportedly seeking to reward John F Kennedy's daughter, who publicly gave her support to his election bid.
She had been poised to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, but dropped out amid criticism that she lacked enough experience for the job.
The Italian paper said that the Vatican strongly disapproved of Mr Obama's support for abortion and stem cell research. The impasse over the ambassadorial appointment threatens to cloud his meeting with the Pope during a G8 summit in Itay in July.
Ms Kennedy, 53, has said that she supports abortion. Raymond Flynn, a former US ambassador to the Vatican, said earlier this week that Ms Kennedy would be a poor choice.
"It's imperative, it's essential that the person who represents us to the Holy See be a person who has pro-life values. I hope the President doesn't make that mistake," he told the Boston Herald. "She said she was pro-choice. I don't assume she's going to change that, which is problematic."
The White House refused to comment.

You know,... like, you know, totally blocked, you know. Good news I love it, bye bye Kennedy's one by one.
LOL Obama is going have a hard time filling this post. He might have to look for a Republican. heh heh
So now, in the Kennedy family’s true tradition, will she be carted off to a 30 day counseling/treatment facility and return to denounce the error of her previous beliefs?
Caroline is the THIRD pro-abortion candidate for the post that the Pope has rejected from Obama.

I guess she feels entitled to something since she is a Kennedy. Name doesn't mean squat. Actions do. There are more people out here who have done more with tons less than she will ever have and they get shut out. She needs to go home, tend her children and try to write another book. She's not that bright.

I guess Obama and his hundreds od advisors don't understand the ramifications of picking an abortion supporter as ambassador to the Vatican.
Caroline has stepped forward from near obscurity to show us she is a typical Kennedy. An elitist without a clue.

Flushed like the excrement she is. The Pope recognizes a lifelong clan of hypocrites and moral bankruptcy and wants no part of it. Ditto Cuchieddie.

Looks like Pope Benedict is not going to be pushed around by either the Kennedy's or Barry or any other Pro-death cult from the United States aka, the "Pro-Choice".

It's about time a Pope held Catholic politicians feet to the fire concerning abortion.
