Hussein Obama Questioned About Memos and Interrogration
Obama says method was torture, no regrets on memos
Obama said Wednesday night that waterboarding authorized by former President George W. Bush was torture, and the information gained from terror suspects through its use could have been obtained by other means. "In some cases it may be harder," he conceded at a White House news conference marking a whirlwind first 100 days in office.
Obama also said he was "absolutely convinced" he had acted correctly in banning waterboarding, an interrogation technique that simulates drowning, and approved making public the Bush administration memos detailing its use as well as other harsh methods used on terrorist suspects. "Not because there might not have been information that was yielded by these various detainees ... but because we could have gotten this information in other ways, in ways that were consistent with our values, in ways that were consistent with who we are."
Obama has come under heavy criticism from former Vice President Dick Cheney and other Republicans for his actions, who have questioned whether they have rendered the country less safe.
Cheney as well as some congressional Republicans have urged Obama to release memos they say will show waterboarding was successful in obtaining information. But the president, in a White House exchange with House Republican leader John Boehner last week, said the record was equivocal.
Obama told reporters he has read the documents Cheney and others are referring to.

Barack Obama marked his 100th day in office by telling Americans that “we’ve begun the work of remaking America.”
The president, speaking at a town hall meeting in the St. Louis suburb of Arnold, Missouri, said that while the U.S. still faces challenges in recovering from a recession, the country is making progress.
“We have begun to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off,” Obama said. “I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made, but I’m not satisfied. I’m confident in the future, but I’m not content with the present.”
“The priorities that we’ve acted on are the things we said we would do during the campaign,” Obama said. “It’s not like anybody should be surprised.”
Answering questions from the audience, Obama repeated his stance that subjecting higher incomes to the Social Security payroll tax is the “best idea” for protecting the government retirement insurance system’s financial health. Making the wealthy “pay a little more payroll tax” is preferable to cutting Social Security benefits or raising the retirement age, Obama said.

Regarding his statments on the memo's and interrogration.
I disagree with Obama on this in every day.
In fact the The mainstream media could report on the assaults that have occurred on our soldiers by the "terrorists" or the female doctor who had her face bashed into the bars of the cell when she was bending over to hear the prisoner better, requiring facial reconstruction. None of that gets reported!
Such as: from Gordon Cucullu's new book "Inside Gitmo"
- A young female Navy medic who was asked to approach a detainee she had treated in the past. The man grabbed her head, smashed her face against the bars, and inflicted such damage that she has had 16 reconstructive plastic surgeries on her face.
- A female nurse who while treating a detainee in the hospital was punched so hard that it fractured her nose. The detainee then shouted that “this infidel whore’s blood has defiled me. Bring me fresh clothes!”
- Guards who have a noxious “cocktail” of feces, urine, semen, spit, and vomit flung into their faces and who then clean themselves, change into fresh uniforms, and resume their duties rather than let their buddies down by taking time off.
Maybe if every Lib in America should be forced to watch all of the beheading videos that have been posted. And then they should be told, if you want to complain about something being cruel complain about this.
His hubris is in the way of anything he does....because everything he does is for him, him, him. He understands nothing about being an American, because he clearly isn't one...How about that birth certificate you cannot produce and the locked security of all of your college records...for all I know Obamasiah is working for the terrorists...should not surprise anyone.
Obama is the enemy, and the clear and present danger and I cannot wait until his four years are up and we can be rid of him forever!

Bush made a mistake by 'waterborading', yet we have been Safe for 8 years, so that is a mistake.
The prisoners at Gitmo have been tortured by what having to watch a soap commercial.
This is absurd. The main stream media of Shep Smith and ilk finally got the whuss president they have always wanted. Who is as intelligent as they are and just as arrogant. The MSM talks down to the 'little people' just like obama does, He'd have a conversation with us but we are just too stupid to understand the import of mortgaging our Grandchildren's future.
This is why we need all this legislation, the Hate crimes bill, the Internet bill, the Fairness bill, just to keep us from hurting each other. Afterall we don't want to hurt anybody, especially the Terrorists.
These people don't live in the real world. There world is one of dreamwalking, pretend and make believe. We are all a bunch of Rednecks and Crackers who need to be led by the hand to the promised land, where we will be happy all of the time and they are coming to take us away, until we learn what they good they have thought up for us. This land of Oz they have dreamed up for us is nothing more than slave labor with the sole purpose of serving the state.
Obama is a demogogue and a pettit Tyrant. If he is allowed to continue unchecked and so far he has been free to do whatever he wants our whole system will unravel. This nightmare needs to be stopped.

If this vile POS would release the results of the Waterboarding, the people would be able to determine if it was a mistake.
Wouldn't it be something to learn you were in a building, plane, or bridge that was going to be attacked but Bush prevented it?
When nothing happens, people get complacent and are unable to see what is being done to ensure their security.

What Obama meant by "change" was "destroy". In that aspect Obama has had a very productive 100 days. He has already done a lot to change one of the bedrocks of America, capitalism. He has begun nationaizing the banks and auto industries.
It appears that Obama's team is working hard on destroying another bedrock of America, individual liberty. The plan is in place for return of the Fairness doctrine. The list of restrictions is being drawn up to revoke the Second Amendment. The blueprint is in place to tax us all into equal poverty.
I know Obama is a Marxist. There is no doubt in my mind about that. I also think he is a muslim. He has opened America up to a two pronged attack to socialism and islam. He supports both.

BobF., your right, people have forgotten
how they felt that morning. There were a
lot of possible attacks that were stopped
after 9-11 and all because of what Bush
and Cheney did with the wire taps and
other things. Incident Reoport online
shows daily reports of things happening
all across our country. I wish they had that
on the news in the background to let
people see the danger out there.
