Angie Harmon: I'm Not Racist Because I Disagree With Obama
Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.
"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."
Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.
"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.
And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.
"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me."
However Harmon is definitely in the Hollywood minority when it comes to her criticism of Obama as other lasses at the Latisse party were quick to advocate their unequivocal support.

Angie has been a Republican for a long time, I am so glad about this article. She is is married to former professional football player Jason Sehorn. She and her husband delivered a speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
Angie was born in Dallas, Texas and lives with her husband and children in Calif.
I am very proud of her for speaking out, she has done this before. Nicholas said one time they dropped her from a show because of it. That is what it is like in Hollywood, and there are a lot of Republicans there but they stay silent. Not only actresses and actors but also others that work on the shows and films. Script girls, makeup people, wardrobe people, set decorators etc.

And that's just the way it goes, too. You say one thing they feel is out of line and you are automatically labeled. If you try to explain that you had issues with Bush too, they don't want to hear it. I feel them blasting us is rude, mainly because they refuse to see the other side, even though we listened to them.

I would imagine there are a lot of Republicans in Hollywood. Many folks there work hard and are tired of seeing their hard earned money taken from them and given to those who won't work or are here illegally. But, they have to keep quiet because of the Limousine Liberals who run things.

Hollywood must be a lot like the immature high school mentality. You either join the crowd and be "cool" or you are ostracized.
Angie Harmon is unafraid to state that she is a Republican or that she is religious. I wonder if she knows Bo Derek.

She is hot.
Is it any wonder that the Republican Party has the best lookin babes on the planet. When you make a comparison, Helen Thomas vs. Sarah Palin and Janet Reno vs. Angie Harmon, there's no contest. No wonder the democrats are so friggin miserable.
Hell I knew all along she didn't have a racist bone in her body. Speaking of Bodies...Wow.

Lynn, your so right and I think people should know
too it is not just Hollywood this kind of silence
or get fired goes on. It could be almost any place
of business the way things have been going.
If the boss is an Obama person it makes it
impossible for a person to say anything or they
might lose their job.

BobF., yes you right. I always remember the
first time I noticed people would only whisper
they listened to conservative talk radio.
I was so surprised, but I learned fast to just not
discuss politics unless I was sure of the other
person.
The same for Nicholas.

Mark, she is very beautiful, I agree I am so glad
we have good looking men and women on our
side, in our party. Even on FOX news a lot of
the men and women on their are nice looking.
Like they say too, beauty comes from within
and the democrats make that saying so very true.
They are ugly on the inside, filled with hate and
crazy as well, and it shows on their faces.
