UPDATE: FOX Says NO to Narcissistic Obama Demands TV Sweeps Timeslot
UPDATE: April 27th,2009..scroll down to bottom
.
Obama has asked to make a prime-time appearance during May sweeps.
White House officials have requested up to an hour of airtime for Wednesday, April 29, according to TV Week. The press conference, which falls on the 100th day of Obama's presidency, will probably air in the 8 o'clock hour and address questions of the president's performance.
Broadcast networks have not yet announced their response, but a source said that they will most likely agree to the administration's request.
Read the comments posted at TVGuide.com for the article.......... The comments at TV Guide are great. At least 9 out of every 10 commenters are sick of hearing from Obama. LOL
Some snippets:
"No! ..."
"Definitely get off the TV..."
"He's such a diva..."
"Again?!?!"
"I voted for, and support President Obama, but this is getting ridiculous."
.
Wild Thing's comment........
Oh dear God, Please make him shut up!!!!!!!
Today it is a “request”.
Tomorrow it will be a “demand”.
Next, a “command.”
They better start turning him down now or soon they won’t be allowed to deny his dictates.
And good grief an ENTIRE HOUR????? How long does it take him to read "Bush's fault" off the teleprompter?
Surely there is an infomercial on at that time for pubic hair removal or hemorrhoid reduction creams that would be infinitely more interesting.
UPDATE: April 27th,2009
Fox Won’t Air Obama Press Conference
For the first time since Barack Obama took office, a major broadcast network is refusing to grant the president’s request for primetime coverage.
This afternoon the Fox network issued a statement saying it will air regular programming Wednesday night instead of President Obama’s 100-day news conference.
“The Fox Broadcasting Company will not air the Presidential News Conference on Wednesday, April 29 at 8:00 PM (ET),” Fox said via a carefully worded statement. “Fox’s sister networks, Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network, will air the press conference in its entirety. Fox will be alerting viewers with an onscreen graphic at the top of the 8:00 PM (ET) hour that the press conference is available on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network.”
Fox sticking with schedule instead of Obama
The Fox network is sticking with its regular schedule over President Barack Obama this week.
The network is turning down the president's request to show his prime-time news conference on Wednesday. The news conference marks Obama's 100th day in office. Instead of the president, Fox viewers will see an episode of the Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me."
It's the first time a broadcast network has refused Obama's request. This will be the third prime-time news conference in Obama's presidency. ABC, CBS and NBC are airing it.
This is the first time since Barack Obama took office that a one of the big four broadcast networks has refused the president’s request for primetime coverage.
ABC, CBS and NBC will carry the president’s telecast.
Wild Thing's comment....
Thank God! WOW! This is GREAT news, plus the show they will air is a good one, kind of an interesting show. And how funny is this, the name of the show....." Lie To Me."
ROTFLMAO could the name of the show be any more perfect to air instead of Obama. hahahahaa

Comments
I only read the first page of comments and agree that most express that they don't care to see or hear him. Neither do I. What is he going to do but wave his arms reading "the sky is falling" off of a teleprompter.

I thought one of President Bush's major mistakes was that he seldom went before the American public to present his case. He let the news media do his presenting and of course they were anti Bush. After the 2006 elections Bush was in essence a recluse.
Now we have Obama, the self worshipping god. He wants more time on tv than the daily news anchors. Obama has his worshippers but no one can love him more than he loves himself. Popularity can be fleeting and I hope people get so tired of him that they get turned off with his rhetoric. Also, the more he talks, the more he has to lie. That will catch up with him as people begin to question his contradictions.

Not gonna watch this imba-cile!!had enough.

Well it will be a very scripted press conference. The MSM will have their designated list of questions to ask and that will be the end of it. We will find out nothing.
the Soutpiel will say, "He is fixing 'all of Bush's mistakes'. It's gonna take time. But look at all we have accomplished in just 100 days."
Yeah, the country's in debt up to our eyeballs, thanks to his left wing communist agenda, he has dissed his own country around the world, made deals that effectively have voided the Declaration of Independance.
The Mayflower landed here in 1620 it took about 180 years to create our country and this Asshole has virtually destroyed it in 100 days. With help from the willing dupes in the press and congress.

The MSM will give Obama all the TV time he wants because they're the ones who put him in office. The networks don't have to give a president air time if they choose not to. I think Bush would have been on TV more but the major networks wouldn't give him the air time.

Just like Ozzy Osbourne's dysfunctional reality show eh? Obama is the real prince of darkness.
I'll not be watching their pubic-headed pandering.

Hey Mark, I have to agree.

Bob A., I agree and they should list having
to see him on TV as torture, Now that is
real torture.
Posted by: Wild Thing at April 26, 2009 05:39 PM
Tom, I agree. From what I have seen it
is divided, some of his voters are getting
tired of seeing him all the time. Others
still think he is awesome and the best
president we ever had. augh

Chief, my cousin said she is going to

took about 180 years to create our country
and this Asshole has virtually destroyed
it in 100 days. With help from the willing
dupes in the press and congress."
That is so horrible, it is very true, and it
really shocking what he has done.

BobF., yes like in China where they control
their TV and internet too.

Jack, good quote, thank you.

Fox told the White House that...Ouch! A Tim Roth drama 'Lie to me' that's sort of apropos isn't it.
Hopefully they handled it skillfully enough, otherwise I won't have a News outlet to get my news unfiltered and un spun still this could be dangerous for Fox. Bold move indeed.
Afterall, it is only the 100th day of this abortion they call an administration, and it is not like he actually accomplished anything. Aside from political paybacks to ACORN, the Unions, corrupting the Banking system, taking over General Motors, forcing them to dump Pontiac, forcing the Fed to print money that doesn't exist...heck other than that it has been an uneventful 3 months, 10 days, 10 hours and 34 minutes but who's keeping track of time ???
