The Tax Poem
The Tax Poem
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it. Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat..
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears..
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass-ets.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middleclass in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell "politicians?"
And I still have to "press 1" for English!?
"One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce, and canonized those who complain." Thomas Sowell
Wild Thing's comment.........
This is well done and I never knew that none of these existed until the last 100 years. Really interesting.
......Thank you James M. for sending this to me.

And don't forget all those regulatory fees that are tapped on also.
Regulatory Fees = Additional Taxes.

Too many people have no idea how much they are taxed. Too many people have no idea that so many of the present legislation is un-Constitutional. Too many people haven't cared.
Maybe, the time of apathy is coming to a halt.
I pray so.

What I want to know is how much of this tax money goes to actual use? How much goes to the Military or Intelligence? How much goes to welfare medicare medicaid etc.? And how much goes to politicians and their pet projects? They also roll a lot of these taxes (and other bills) into legislation on the fast track to the president so that they can get their outrageous agenda through without ANYONE noticing and mostly without having to draft a new bill altogther to risk losing in a floor vote and incurring the People's outrage.(That's an important part in understanding the legeslative process and I'm almost certain how the left gets 90% of their agenda through) I swear, there ought to be a Constitutional Amendment that prevents the incorporation of legislation, the amending of legislation by politicians to include pork, earmarks, taxes, more regulation, and everything else, but NO ONE would ever go for it.
P.S. If you heard romours that the holt bill h.r. 45 was rolled into the "stimulus" well then, "If there is one silver lining to all of this, it's the debunking of a rumor that recently swept across the internet. The rumor claimed that the provisions of HR 45 -- the massive gun registration bill introduced by Chicago congressman Bobby Rush (D) -- were "rolled into" what was passed. But having searched the contents of the new law, GOA staff has determined the rumor appears to be false."
Once Again Thank God for Small Mercies.

Yankeemom, good point, I sure hope so. Apathy has been the norm for too long and from too many.

It is said that approximately half of our dollars go to taxes of one kind or another. Monthly bills like your phone bill or electric bill give an idea of how much of a dollar the small(but many) fees and taxes eat up.
This money comes in so easy to our elected unemployed lawyers, that they just spend, spend, spend. To them tax money is like the Cornucopia, the Horn of Plenty. It never stops giving to them. I was very happy to see this weekend's Tea Partys throughout America. People are beginning to wake up.

You're welcome, incorporating highly unconstitutional crap into a bill is just how the left has done it in the past. THAT is why they must be stopped now, think about it, if you can get a highly publicized and politicized bill going and claim it's "urgent" and "immediate action is necessary" you face scrutiny for going against it. Like rahm emanuel said "a crisis is a terrible thing to waste." That will give a politician ample and irresistable opportunity to cram all of the party line crap into it while shutting out the opposition, and the president doesn't have any line item veto. Kind of like the "bills" being crammed through on the basis of "saving the economy".

That was priceless, maybe not taxless but priceless.
