The right to bear arms is one of the fundamental ideals on which our nation was founded.
Hardworking, law-abiding Americans have for generations enjoyed this freedom in their communities and with their families.
But Barack Obama believes that many Americans simply 'cling' to guns in times of economic distress. Speaking behind closed doors to an audience of San Francisco donors Barack Obama said "they cling to guns or religion .... as a way to explain their frustrations"
Obama's anti-gun record is long.
In 2004, he voted against legislation drafted to protect homeowners from prosecution in cases where they used a firearm to halt a home invasion.
In 2003, he voted in support of legislation that would have effectively banned most of the privately held hunting shotguns, target rifles, and black powder rifles in Illinois.
And in 1996, Obama supported a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.

The term "Assault Weapon" is a term created by the government from 94' to '04. It's also a "scary" term to make people feel uneasy about these Rifles. THEY'RE NO DIFFERENT. Also the gun control crowd will also make up totally ridiculous "facts" about weapons. Such as sooting down a jumbo jet and such. Alright I'm off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard who can sell me another AR and beaucoup ammunition for it.

Yankeemom, I agree about the "common sense laws" if anything It's common sense to HAVE AR-15's and .50 Caliber Rifles to defend against the government. I may be just an Army Reservist but I was taught Infantry Tactics in Basic Training.

I just noticed Sarah Brady's comment, about, we the people resisting, until we are totally disarmed only then can she become a socialist. I will never submit to that.
Bothersome, is the others are repeating democrat talking points, the Brady woman is serious. Jim Brady had a .22cal lobotomy, that day, had Hinckley use a bigger round, she would have buried him. Sometimes people don't look at what they have been given and whine about what could have been. Yet she is trying to punish the whole country for the actions of one demented democrat.
