If it's MANDATORY, then it isn't volunteer anymore. I don't like the idea that we MUST do something in order to CHANGE ourselves. If someone wants to volunteer, that's fine by me, but it has to be your decision, not the governments. If the government does everything for you then you never get to experience the highs and lows of choosing for yourself. Even Star Trek hinted at this, especially in the episode with Melvin Belli playing an evil angel--a kid chose vanilla ice cream with coconut topping and was disappointed when they were both white. You have to be able to have that sense of happiness and disappointment. You have to take the good and the bad and you can't let someone else dictate terms to you. We have to stand for ourselves someday or we'll never walk on our own. Obama is wrong about making this mandatory. My soon to be 19 year old daughter is scared to death that she'll be "forced" into a life of some kind of slavery in some goon squad somewhere in America and be lost forever.

We're witnessing the beginning of the history of early Nazi Germany repeating itself. Soon, they'll roll out the Obama Youth Corps. Hitler focused the attention of Germany against the Jews. Who will Obama focus the attention of the nation against? Will it be Conservatives? After all, his staff has been entirely focused on Rush Limbaugh, one of the leading Conservatives in America.

I looked for the punishment phase but couldn't find anything. I am sure that if you refuse to participate there will be some penalty.

I put my marriage of 52 years to the acid test last night. Although I had mentioned PC Free Zone to the wife she really didn't know what it is about. I showed her the most recent posts that I have commented on and let her read my comments and Chrissie's warm words to me. Then I told her that it might all get me in a Federal Prison or Concentration camp. She surprised me by taking it as something that needed to be done. She said, "Well, that Wild Thing lady will be there too." I said, "Yeah, and I'll get to meet her husband."

If I am not mistaken the sponser of this bill, Carolyn McCarthy, is a rabid anti-gunner. She would love to remove the Second Amendment from existence.

Could this Give Act be the mother of groups going door to door enforcing socialist rules, regulations and bans enacted by Obama and the Democrat Congress? I am thinking of the video of the young Black men marching into a room and praising Obama for their motivation.

Involuntary or not, I do not want a government mandated civilian service corps. These exist in places like Cuba and North Korea. This is Marxism folks, by a man in office who is a Marxist. His comrades in Congress are already proposing legislation to extend the terms of the presidency.

This is very scary. It appears Obama and his bunch would like to follow the blueprints of FDR. Create another depression to break the country down, then create all kinds of government programs that give more power to the govt. In the meantime a heroic leader(FDR, Obama) is created and reelected over and over.

And as far as penalties go, non-particiption in "Obama korps' will result in denial of benefits,at least in the beginning. Much as young men who fail to register for Selective Service (like Obama) will be denied Educational loans & grants ,young people will be denied college benefits in an environment of "universal" College attendance.(few if any will be able to afford the inflated tuitions without government benefits) In other words-low employment potential like the high-school dropouts of today. And with the coming government health-care monopoly, will the non-participants be ineligable for ANY health care. And will the "retired" citizens who refuse to conform forfeit social security benefits, their pensions (which will be seized by the government), health care etc. ? Be afraid,be very afraid....

Well, I for one will not live in fear. No one is going to take my liberty away, they'd have to kill me to do that. But a life lived in fear is no life at all.

Like Glenn Beck says, you are not alone. This administration's popularity is going to nose dive by the 2010 elections, our next best chance to make some personnel changes.

Well I can only Imagine the outrage this will cause when Glenn Beck Puts it out there and I don't have to call Rep. Paul or Sen. Cornyn or Hutchison because I know already they'll vote against this. Though I should call and even bring up my Military Service and say something like "this is not what all the Veterans in my Family fought for and it isn't what I'll be fighting for" or something like that. Never hurts to do that. I was listening to Michael Savage the other night and he was saying that if the Jews had shot the gestapo officers and not given their guns and gone with them the holocaust and maybe even hitler's rise to power and a major theater of WWII would have never happened. We have far more Firearms here in the United States and Even More Firearms here in Texas including more AR-15'S, and even more .50 Caliber Rifles etc., Y'all thinking what I'm thinking?

There is so much happening and so much of it I don't understand. Like this post today I had to read the links at the site and try to figure out exactly what it is about. I knew it was bad but just how bad and what did they plan on doing.

BobF., yes, I bet they keep going after Rush and then like you said start in bashing conservatives. They have no worries with rino's since they show weakness, but conservatives we are the ones that hold strong, are loyal like I like to say in a foxhole. I tend to view things and people by this, if I would want them in a foxhole with me. Rino's never measure up, not even a little. So yes, Obama will have to make us the really bad guys, people that are in his way so to speak.

We all need to write our politicians and tell them we know about this and not to give in on this.

Mark, I wrote to all the politicians that would accept an email, mostly only in my State. There are some that accept emails from outside States not many though. This has to be voted down and not done in secret.

This morning on all the Sunday morning political talk shows it was the first time I saw the Republicans actully say they were not happy with Obama and that he was failiing at the economy and also people were outraged. Yess we are outraged. Always before these same Republcians would kiss up about Obama and go on and on what a great speaker he was, they did not do that today.

I think they see they have to start to speak up or America will be lost.

See that is exactly the thing, at first I thought this is tin foil hat stuff. But when I look at the speech's from Obama, that book that Rahm wrote called, "The Plan", and so many of the things Obama has already done and wants to do. Things he even lists at the White House website and he had at his campaign site. It all fits right in so I believe he at least will try to do what this post is about.

I do feel though he can be stopped but it has to be where the Republicans get out and talk about it and show disgust and anger and then vote against it. I also believe most of the public would hate this if they knew what it really is about.

Judging by the experience of the USSR, Cuba and such places, those who decline to participate will be denied federal benefits including education (even if you pay for it yourself), perhaps licenses, certainly firearms licenses, unemployment compensation, welfare, the universal healthcare which will become the only form of medical care available, perhaps the right to vote, passports, and other things I cannot think of right now. If there are shortages, that could include gasoline and/or even food. Refusers will become "un-people", and enemies of the state. I'm game. If they try to take me, I will give them such a lesson in passive resistance, sabotage, and deliberate misunderstanding, they will rue the day they heard of me.

In the original proposal for this, which was on the Obama campaign web site, the seniors who participated would receive special perks, like more access to health insurance, and something else, which I forget.

Add this to their ideas of nationalized health care, also on the campaign site, and it was easy for me to see even then that in their plans, hose elders who went along with the program would get better medical care.

And that's just regarding seniors. Their plans for our children are positively chilling.

People laughed at me when I pointed out all this and more on the campaign website. They thought it meant nothing. Now Obama and some Democrats in Congress are trying to quickly pass it into law.

And STILL most Americans aren't aware of it, and - if their response to the campaign web site was any indication - wouldn't believe it if they were.

I will rot in jail before I lift a finger for any of this, and will encourage everyone else, including my children, to do the same.

Whether or not Michelle thinks her husband has some right to make me work for him, or to demand that I change to suit him.

I wonder if a later amendment to this, after it somehow miraculously passes the senate, Herr President's desk, and Supreme Court scrutiny, will contain provisions for a mark of some sort...you know, on the back of the right hand, or the forehead...to be utilized for buying and selling.
