Obama Shows Iran He Is Ashamed of The American Flag
Obama released a special video message for all those celebrating Nowruz. Translated "New Day," Nowruz marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of the New Year for millions in Iran and other communities around the world.
This year, the President wanted to send a special message to the people and government of Iran on Nowruz, acknowledging the strain in our relations over the last few decades.
"But at this holiday we are reminded of the common humanity that binds us together," he says.
After committing his administration to a future of honest and respectful diplomacy, he continues on to address Iran's leaders directly:
"You, too, have a choice. The United States wants the Islamic Republic of Iran to take its rightful place in the community of nations. You have that right -- but it comes with real responsibilities, and that place cannot be reached through terror or arms, but rather through peaceful actions that demonstrate the true greatness of the Iranian people and civilization. And the measure of that greatness is not the capacity to destroy, it is your demonstrated ability to build and create."

My antennae went up. I found the official White House website for the message, and saw that there were . . . various versions of the message. "
"In the main, generic version, an American flag is plainly visible in the background .But below that there are links to other versions, including “.mp4 with Persian subtitles.” Persian is of course the language of Iran, so that is the version the White House wanted to be seen there. "
The American flag has disappeared from the background [see screencap above the break]. So that’s why the image was cropped so tight. At times, the prez’s American flag lapel pin can be seen, but during most of the message the cropping is so tight that even that small American symbol is invisible.
Looks like Pres. Obama was worried about offending the mullahs and Ahmadinejad by displaying Old Glory.

Never thought we would see something like this happening. But then I never thought any of the other stuff would be happening either.
When the Islamist nuclear device explodes in an American city the Kenya jerk will feel it in his approval numbers.

I was in the Arabian Sea Op Area onboard Ranger during the hostage crisis and the release. The Air Wing was loaded and ready to go. It's a shame we had to download the ordnance after the release of the hostages.
The only thing that applies to the mullahs? Cromwell said it best. Kill them all and let God sort them out.

Obama seems to dislike any symbolism of the traditions of America, except when it suits him politically. Until Obama became the Dem presidential nominee, I never knew there was a "Black national anthem". I wonder when the stars on Old Glory will be replaced with the hammer and sickel and the red and white stripes replaced with red, black and green.

These are indeed extremely scary times when the President would care more for our enemies than his own people. I just don't understand how some could be so damn stupid and so easily led to the slaughter and take us with them. Who wants to be thrown to the lions because someone went through life with blinders on? He acts so much like a tv actor or reporter and he's in over his head. I think I'm more upset with those whack jobs who only voted for him because it's time for a "black" president. How racist is that? I didn't vote for him and got called racist. I don't care about skin color, but his immaturity is showing terribly. It's frightening and sickening.

Tom, thank you for pointing that out. I agree and I think it is very important and telling as to what he is as a person. I wish the left would have noticed that during the campaign or maybe they did and could care less. But they are wrong, it is huge.

if you look at those two different pictures, his head is up in the air denoting arrogance, to the American people, the picture to the Iranians head is down a symbol of subservivane.
He is selling us out.
