Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) ~ Thank you Sen.DeMint!
Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) is a political action committee dedicated to electing conservatives to the United States Senate.
SCF seeks to bring bold conservative leadership to Washington by supporting the most rock-solid, conservative candidates nationwide; candidates who believe in the principles of limited government, strong national defense, and traditional family values.
SCF is designed to help its members achieve the goal of enacting conservative policies. We do it through direct contributions to conservative candidates as well as through public education on key issues, grass roots organization of like-minded conservatives across the country, and research on the positions of candidates in important elections.
Our ultimate goal is to maximize freedom, security, and prosperity through conservative policies.
SCF policy goals include:
Strengthen national security
Oppose appeasement
Eliminate wasteful spending and keep taxes low
Promote energy security
Secure our borders
Expand private health insurance
Give parents more school choices
Save Social Security and Medicare
Confirm good judges
Promote the American Dream
.
SCF is chaired by U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina).
Wild Thing's comment......
I just found out about it Friday, Sen. DeMint started it, so here is what I did. I clicked to join. It did not ask for a donation but you can also do that as well. I filled out the email address box and then the rest of my information. Simple as that.
So I thought you might like to know about it too.
Contributions only go to conservatives and he lists how the Pubs vote on any bill. Now all we need is a similar organization in the House.
My thinking is we have to support real "all the time" conservatives not the "I'm conservative when it's convenient" types. The real conservatives will lead us out of this mess the rino's in our party are allowing to happen.
There was NO excuse for a single Republican to vote for HR1388, not one.

It looks interesting. I think their number one goal should be to secure and follow The Constitution.

Wild Thing,
Sen. Mint is doing a great job and that is certainly a needed webpage.
If you click on the 'Ratings' tab, there is a rating system used for each Senator that comes directly from ACU. http://www.conservative.org/index.html
The ACU appears to embrace both the House and Senate.
That group also has a Foundation that even has online instructions on conservatism, history, etc.
Their lesson one starts off with an article written by Ronald Reagan, for example.

Thank you Chrissie, DeMint is such a rarity, I still feel betrayed by Republicans and prefer my own slush fund in escrow to buy my own politician.
41 Republican Senators and 178 Republican House members. What happened to their oath of office?
Members of Congress (Legislative Branch)
At the start of each new Congress, in January of every odd-numbered year, the entire House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate takes an oath of office. The Speaker of the House will direct the Members to rise and the oath is administered. The original oath was as follows: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States."
The oath was revised during the Civil War, when members of Congress were concerned about traitors. The current oath is as follows:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
Some 27% of Senate Republicans are conservative? Or are they???

Tom, I agree. I did not donate I only signed up. I want to watch it for awhile and see how it does and if they stay true to what they are doing.

Ben Stephens, thanks for that information.
I hope it only supports real conservatives
and not rino's too. I get concerned with
that and how they buddy up with a rino
just because they are friends or something.

Jack, thank yo uso much for all of that.
I will not donate to anything political.
Maybe never again, it was never that much
anyway they won't miss me. haha
But I just won't do it till I get some
real conservatives to vote for, not the
pretenders/rino's.
If I was the RNC/GOP I would have a list
of every Rep. that voted for HR1388 and
never again allow campaign contributions
from our party headquarters to go them.
They would thus fail and not be able to
win for sure.
