Congress approves massive spending bill
Congress is sending President Barack Obama a massive bill funding domestic programs and awarding lawmakers their cherished pet projects after more than a week of partisan debate.
Senators passed the measure by voice vote after voting 62-35 to shut down debate. The White House says Obama will sign the bill.
Described by lawmakers as a $410 billion measure — but officially set by the Congressional Budget Office at $408 billion because of technicalities involving heating.
Congress also awarded itself a 10 percent increase in its own budget, bringing it to $4.4 billion. But the House inserted a provision denying lawmakers the automatic cost-of-living pay increase they are due next Jan. 1.

Does anyone ever ask where the money comes from ? We are beyond the point of common sense and are selling our future because of these greedy self-centered prima donnas.
Cavuto had Shelby on and he, shelby, was against earmarks, except for a few he had in this bill. They are all two faced double dealing crooks.
Term limits is the only way out of this.

Get ready for a round of inflation. We are now back in the Carter years. It is "only money" and we need all those projects so dear to the politicians(sarc). This is pure vote buying.

I think the big jackass just signed it, too. I wonder how many pens he used. Ugh. I just want to throw up.
Term limits, they will never vote for that. They were arguing about scratching their 8 or 10% raise this year today. It's all about them. This spending stuff is to help their next campaigns.
Those that were for their raises said those that were against them should not receive the raises if they went through.
They make me sick.
