Civilian Security Force on Agenda Again
Civilian security force on agenda again
The issue of a "Civilian National Security Force" – already discussed by President Obama several times – has come up again, this time before the National Defense University. But there's no information from the White House on what was meant.
Obama's reference to the civilian force came during his "Call to Service" speech in Colorado Springs in which he insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set" and needs a "civilian national security force."
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Obama pays tribute to Lincoln, again
Excerpts from Obama's speech March 12, 2009, at the dedication of Abraham Lincoln Hall at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C.:
"The attacks of 9/11 signaled the new dangers of the 21st century. And today, our people are still threatened by violent extremists ...
Yet terrorism and extremism make up just one part of the many challenges that confront our nation. ... A historic economic downturn has put at stake the prosperity that underpins our strength, while putting at risk the stability of governments and the survival of people around the world. ... Poverty, disease, the persistence of conflict and genocide in the 21st century challenge our international alliances, partnerships and institutions -- and must call on all of us to reexamine our assumptions.
These are the battlefields of the 21st century. These are the threats that we now face. And in these struggles, the United States of America must succeed -- and we will succeed.
We also know that the old approaches won't meet the challenges of our time. ... No army -- no matter how strong -- can eliminate every adversary. No weapon -- no matter how powerful -- can erase the hatred that lies in someone's heart.
So it falls to institutions like this -- and to individuals like you -- to help us understand the world as it is, to develop the capacities that we need to confront emerging danger, and to act with purpose and pragmatism to turn this moment of peril into one of promise. That's how we will find new pathways to peace and security. That is the work that we must do.
Now, make no mistake: This nation will maintain our military dominance. ...
But we also need to look beyond this conventional advantage as we develop the new approaches and new capabilities of the 21st century -- and in that effort, this university must play a critical role.
America must also balance and integrate all elements of our national power. We cannot continue to push the burden on to our military alone, nor leave dormant any aspect of the full arsenal of American capability. And that's why my administration is committed to renewing diplomacy as a tool of American power, and to developing our civilian national security capabilities. This effort takes place within the walls of this university, where civilians sit alongside soldiers in the classroom. And it must continue out in the field, where American civilians can advance opportunity, enhance governance and the rule of law, and attack the causes of war around the world. We have to enlist our civilians in the same way that we enlist those members of the armed services in understanding this broad mission that we have.
Wild Thing's comment............
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Unfortunately for America, Barack Obama's security plan is already practiced. Not in America but in Marxist regimes.
National Security means to teach our children to understand the terrorists and their motivations so that our children can learn how to live their lives submissively so as not to offend the sensitivities of the very sensitive America haters.
Their version of National Security is to force you to act for the common good of society.
We all love America and need no civilian security force. We are a security force that can and will defend against anything that may threaten our right to life, liberty, and our pursuit of happiness.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

I wonder what the little obamaroids will do when confronted by someone who is willing to actually stand up. Hmmmmmmmmmm?
It seems with the current debacle in congress and the administration his power base is rapidly eroding and none of us will be forced to act decisively. But I will not hold my breath. Obambozo, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, et al only have two things at heart, Power and Control.
I have some measure of both of those things. They are the power of the written word and being an armed citizen unwilling to accept any form of tyranny.

What a POS. He is telling us as directly as Adolph what his agenda is. How can you rely on the military, law enforcement when you have Napolitano trying to stop agents from doing their jobs and Pelosi screaming that it is patriotic to be here illegaly and un-American to arrest them. What is happening? It's like being in Alice's wonderland at the Mad Hatters Tea Party.
Hopefully the leaders of the military will follow their oath and protect us from enemies from within as well as without.

Uh, dumbass we already have a civilian security force, They're called Armed Citizens, no you want your own force to do as you see fit to kill all who oppose you. OH, check out this:

I feel somewhat betrayed even though that order (which was only on a company level but that can move up the chain 1,000X faster than in the civilian world) was cancelled, I hope to GOD that it ends here but this is scary. I myself see it as unlawful and under UCMJ I am required to Disobey any and all unlawful orders. I'm no conspiracy theorist but there is just too many coincidences floating around. I mean come on do you know how many Military Guys keep privately owned weapons. I grew up around Firearms (I learned to shoot before I was 10). If the MILITARY doesn't trust U.S. SOLDIERS with their own Guns, how the hell can they trust us with Government Issued M16'S, M249 SAW'S, M240B'S, Grenades, Sniper Rifles, Artillery, Tanks, IFV'S, Fighters/Bombers, and Warships? I think obama is paranoid and he wants to disarm and dissolve the Military. Thats the only way to get a "civilian force as big and as well funded." He wants his own personal army as bodyguards for him and his family and everything else National Security, The Economy, The Constitution, The American People be damned. Burn In Hell o[s]bama.
And how about this Remember what I said about "Forget aulinsky etc." these are from the mouth of one of his true influences.
"Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?"
"If the opposition disarms, all is well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves."
"Education is a weapon whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed."
"The press must grow day in and day out — it is our Party's sharpest and most powerful weapon."
Allof these are from Joseph Stalin, Chairman of the Soviet of Ministers of the USSR

Look, America is NOT an easy place to live in. If you screw up, we're going to make fun of you. It's our nature. I just think how wrong it is for everyone to expect us Americans to bend over and take it up the rear without the benefit of a reach around while those who would do us harm are getting all the perks and the easy road. The administration has it's priorities all fouled up. He should be defended us and our freedoms, not attacking us. Our first amendment is virtually gone along with the 2nd. Sad, very sad. Many of us have ties to the founding fathers and they are turning over in their graves right now. How ashamed they must be of us.

Not of us Lynn but perhaps what we have allowed. We must keep fighting and at this point we only have our keyboards. And I did say at this point. Keep the faith.
