"What recovery means for you" from Obama

Note:
During the campaign many of us signed up at Hillary's and Obama websites. It was a good idea to see what was being said and planned etc. So even now we are still getting emails from these people. Below is a letter from Obama that Mark replied to.Mark's replies are in quotation marks to make it easier to read what he said back to Obama.
Letter begins.............
The economic crisis is growing more serious every day, and the time for action has come.
"According to the last administration time was of the essence and we couldn't wait for that package to pass , too. Trouble is we have the same problem. Why will this make any difference ?"
Last week, the House of Representatives passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which will jumpstart our economy and put more than 3 million people back to work.
"This was passed by a partisan democrat congress. The Republicans wanted nothing to do with this boondoggle. All Republican Congressman voted against this bill. What is wrong with this bill that all Republicans voted against it and so did 10 democrats ?"
I hope to sign the recovery plan into law in the next few weeks. But I need your help to spread the word and build support.
"Why does this recovery bill, that is supposed to stimulate the economy, giving 4 billion dollars to ACORN. They are even under investigation."
It's not enough for this bill to simply pass Congress. Americans need to know how it will affect their lives -- they need to know that help is on the way and that this administration is investing in economic growth and stability.
"Could you please explain to me, how, $140 million dollars for contraception and planned parenthood will stimulate the economy ?"
Governor Tim Kaine has agreed to record a video outlining the recovery plan and answering questions about what it means for your community. You can submit your questions online and then invite your friends, family, and neighbors to watch the video with you at an Economic Recovery House Meeting.
"I don't live in Virginia, therefore I will not be able to attend one of these "So informative'' sessions. Where I will be told how great thou art."

"How can this bill restore confidence in 'OUR' economy when people who don't even pay taxes (although according to Harry Reid,' paying taxes is voluntary') will be getting a tax refund check. Tell me where I can go to see the 'Transparency and accountability' of all the taxpayer money that has been given to all these groups that came to Washington with their hands out. Is there an internet site that I can check and see how OUR money is being spent ?"
