Obama And Michelle Ask Progressive Groups For Help Driving White House Agenda

At a private White House cocktail reception last night for leaders of major progressive groups, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle appealed to these leaders and signaled that their groups would play a key role in driving the big progressive changes at the heart of the White House’s legislative agenda, an attendee tells me.
The message was that these groups would be valuable as a kind of progressive outside “echo chamber,” as the attendee puts it.
The party — which was organized by top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett — signals that the White House is moving forward with efforts to build coordination with outside progressive groups in order to drive the White House’s message and beat back its foes. As I reported recently, Jarrett is at the center of those efforts.
Obama didn’t give a talk, and the President, Michelle, and Joe Biden mingled informally with various groups of progressive leaders. The message, the attendee adds, was that “it’s very clear that there will need to be an echo chamber and a way for groups on the outside to build the case for big progressive legislation.”
“The gist was, `We’re gonna need people out there telling the story of the stimulus and telling the story about how much we need big health care reform and clean energy and green jobs,’” the attendee says.

Six House Democrats, six House Republicans, six Senate Democrats, six Senate Republicans. Their spouses are invited as well. Including press secretary Robert Gibbs, senior adviser David Axelrod, senior adviser Pete Rouse, and deputy chief of staff Mona Sutphen.

All the guests are connected or head of a cause to undermine America. The communist "green" people, energy, socialized medicine, the tearing down of companies in favor of government, the taking of private property and guns, the abortion-on-demand crowd...open borders, labor unions...the endless Affirmative Action advocates...social justice...
Communism, in a word is the driving force of Obama since he was close to Frank Marshall Davis in Hawaii and has gone downhill via the Chicago Liberal machine to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Something tells me a certain smug jerk who used to be with the Weatherman Underground is smiling somewhere on the South Side of Chicago.

Of course they have to be his "type" of people. He ain't gonna invite Joe the Plumber types. The real people of America! God Forbid.
Does he really think America is a big giant Romper Room daycare and he's the head teacher? And we all need to be controlled in our everyday lives? Shame on him and those who blindly follow him. Not my fault if they can't control their lives, but I am the ruler and master of my own destiny. If I fail, I fail. I might cry awhile, but then get back on the saddle and try again. I don't need a governess or nanny. I can do this myself.

Lynn, you are so right about His kind of people. He wouldn't last 20 seconds with the guys around here who went deer hunting a lot this past season to stock up meat for their families. They see the writing on the wall every time they go to the store.
They also go to church, own a lot of guns, love their trucks and distrust the government, even in the good times.
Now these are MY kind of folks.
And all that "lecturing" he does under the guise of giving speeches...it's worn real thin. I just can't stand the sound of his voice.

I like your kind of folks yankeemom. Yes they do distrust government even in the good times. We haven't had much good times the last 20 years as Dems and RINOs have taken over government. Now these lefties have absolute control as this cocktail party shows. It's gonna get bad for a while.
