Actor Kelsey Grammer Talks About The Stimulus Bill
Kelsey Grammer: "Don't Penalize the Good Guys to Help Evil-Doers "
Wild Thing's comment......
Every now and again someone in Hollywood gets it right. I love how he calls the left ( Obama, Pelosi etc.) all those forcing this stimulus bill ....evil doers.

Way to go Kelsey, 60% tax rate is not unreal under the Democrats even for the blue collar worker with skills. It wasn't all that long ago when yours truly was paying in that 60% bracket, I never made more or had less to show for it. Of the possible 168 clock hours in a 7 day work week I've put in 135 of them pulling wrenches working 7/12s, yes it was fun and those 7/12's extended to 14/12's and beyond!!! That 8 hour 'rest period' was quietly ignored by both sides as we worked in teams to watch out for each other. some of us were totally exhausted mentally and physically from all the hours, the stress and the cold of starting up the oil field at Prudhoe Bay. All that effort meant we were expendable once the black stuff started flowing. No recognition beyond names scratched into a piece of steel pipe and none expected from the producers. The real blessing was having the Feds taking out the maximum income taxes, 39% off the top, another 15.8% in Socialist Security taxes for the slush fund then at the same time the state assessed their income tax at 20% of the federal income taxes. Nice when you pay out in excess of $60K income taxes for busting your chops then the state taps you for another $12K. That put me in the minimum 60% bracket the first full year and the previous 5 months were at nearly 89% and it sure as hell quelled any incentive to over achieve once that project was completed. That first year and a half alone I paid out more in taxes than I made in a year since. It cured me of working overtime if I could avoid it. It also cured me of taking on immense responsibility. Raise those punitive taxes and not only will it kill jobs and business it will kill the initiative for a worker to get ahead.

Mark, I agree, and I sure was surprised a few years ago when he started to speak out. Too bad I have to be surprised by it but 75 percent of hollywood would rather praise Che or Chavez.
