Supreme Court to take up eligibility question again

A conference is scheduled Friday at the U.S. Supreme Court during which justices will consider behind closed doors – again – taking up a case that could put to rest the questions about whether President-elect Barack Obama qualifies to occupy the Oval Office under the Constitution's requirement that he be a "natural born" citizen.
Twice before the justices have heard the questions, and twice before they've decided to ignore them.
The lingering questions continue to leave a cloud over the impending presidency of a man whose relatives have reported he was born in Kenya and who has decided, for whatever reason, not to release a bona fide copy of his original birth certificate in its complete form.
WND columnist Janet Porter today in her column raises some of the more significant consequences that could result should the questions continue without answers.
"What if an impostor from another country ran for the presidency and won?" she asks. "What if the media blocked any news of his birthplace and citizenship? What if the media censorship even blocked paid advertising which tried to expose it?
"What if no one had the courage to challenge or verify it? What if he was inaugurated illegally? What if the military had to answer to a commander in chief who was illegitimate? What if every law he signed was invalid?"
And, she wonders, "What if it all happened on our watch?"

“Where were you born? What hospital? Will you give immediate approval so we can confirm this through third party official state, municipal, hospital and other governmental agencies?”
Of course after they asked the question they would probably be fired but wow it would really be something to see that happen and Obama's reaction.

If the message from Roberts to the rest of the Justices is true, then they will have no choice based on his reasoning. They will have to do it.
Unfortunately, there have been so many of these "it's finally going to happen" moments in this saga, I'm in "believe it when I see it" mode.
I think the key to approaching this case is, if nothing else, to make these qualifications and system for verification clear cut. While the qualifications are clear, the verification process is, from a public standpoint, non-existent. Transparency indeed, BO.
However, I can't believe the CIA, FBI, whomever, doesn't already know the truth. We know how corrupt our government bodies are, things we'll never know go on for reasons we can't fathom...but this just might blow up in their faces.
The day he has to admit he's really Barry Soetoro will trump OJ's incarceration, Burris, Blagojevich, Who Shot JR, and 9/11.

One honest action by Obama could settle this issue. His lack of action questions his honesty and confirms his arrogance.

I'm still waiting for obama to stand, on any principle but when he has no foundation then how can he be expected to stand on anything.

No matter how much blog and underground publicity this story gets domestically it will go nowhere until it makes it big time in the foreign press. A few foreign reporters who want to embarrass the United States can just do it by questioning the validity of Obama's signature on some treaty or international agreement. It is a fact that the U.S. Senate did not exercise due diligence when it certified Obama's election win today without proof that he met the most basic requirement of being a natural born citizen. Maybe the World Court, which the Libs love so much, can resolve this eligibility issue for us.

Eden, thanks so much, I am trying to be really careful with this. I had some questions about that women lawyer when she said what Roberts said. There was no proof only that she said he said kind of thing.

It is not “getting down to wire” Obama is across the wire. On Thursday, the Congress adopted the report of the Electoral College that Obama has been elected. Now any Federal Judge can swear him in on January 20th and he is President. Only impeachment action by the House of Representatives can remove him from the Whitehouse.
Does anyone want to place money on Pelosi's House impeaching Obama? I figure 10,000 to 1 odds against but only if they have a Kenyan birth certificate actually in-hand. Without conclusive proof, there is no chance of this Congress enforcing the Constitution.
