Kennedy cites 'personal reasons' for dropping Senate bid
Caroline Kennedy has given up her bid for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton.
In a one-line statement citing personal reasons, the widely considered front-runner said Thursday she told New York Gov. David Paterson a day earlier that she was no longer interested in the job.
"I informed Governor Paterson today that for personal reasons I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the United States Senate."
The statement, provided by Kennedy's press person Stefan Friedman, was issued after hours of divergent reports Wednesday evening.
The 51-year-old daughter of slain President John F. Kennedy has been involved in education reform and women's issues, but she never has held public office and mostly has stayed out of the public spotlight.

Good, it will be a dem either way, but God help us from any more of the Kennedy's!
I for one have had my fill of them. She has barely voted in the last how many years and she can't speak. She uses as many UH-ER-UH'S as B.Hussein Obama does. And because she is a Kennedy she would ba asked to be on all the political talk shows as the media will over due their invites to yet another Kennedy. God help us from all of that.

Caroline wised up. She knew a Senate appointment was just a freebie because she was a Kennedy. The outcry against her was enough to discourage her. She would probably rather live a life of luxury without any controversy.

The left media is stating that she bailed out due to Uncle Ted's condition. Bullshit, New York Gov. David Paterson didn't entertain any thoughts of nominating her and she to her credit could reason that fact, it's the same denial of the truth that pisses me off about all those lying Kennedy's and their cover up by media, in this case Lou Dobbs, likely parroting a Democrat controlled AP release.
Kudo's to Patterson, another Commie will get the slot.

This whole Caroline Kennedy media circus is a pure diversionary tactic to cover-up an equally unqualified, but much more dangerous, individual from illegally and unjustly joining the ranks of other anti-American Democrat/Socialists in the Senate.
