Emergency Shelter for teens ? Is that for when they run away, or are in trouble with the law for selling drugs or shooting the kid down the street. Another way for the 'youts' of this country to avoid responsibility.

Where are the parents. Or in this case the Parent and more than likely the Grandmother stuck with raising her grandchildren.

Why not have the teens who are using the shelter do the painting. What better way to teach them some responsibility than to have them work on the place they're staying at?

Actually, I think Obama is planning on having all of us taxpayers doing the "pitch in" work. That way the people who won't help themselves, still won't have to help themselves.

About 25 years back I had a trainee whose brother was an 'engineer', his being a 'minority' and by virtue of both their having token status, it was my job to impart knowledge, skill and experience to Chief Running Dumb. It was an impossible task, he already knew it all by heritage. One day he asked me a stupid question, yes folks there are stupid questions and I never answered but only pointed to Websters Dictionary, implying, look it up yourself. That brought out a charge of 'racial discrimination'. I was brought before ER and my supervisor where I unloaded about him in the universal vernacular. If he thought that would bring me around to packing his sorry ass he was sorely mistaken, I never spoke to the sumbitch again. It was icy around the shop and he cracked first by asked for a transfer. So Cuchieddie you have read my tolerant and cooperative mind concerning this new Chief Running Dumb.
